Maybe you’ve heard, maybe you haven’t, but let me share this anyway.
Base, one of the biggest Layer 2 networks right now and home to major dapps like Farcaster and Baseapp, has officially decided to leave the OP Superchain ecosystem.
That leaves the OP Superchain with just a few familiar names like Arbitrum and Optimism, while others such as Ink and Mode may struggle to gain momentum.
The interesting part is that there is growing speculation that Base could eventually launch its own token. Somewhere out there, Base guild members are probably lining up to verify their roles just in case.
All jokes aside, anyone who has been building and staying active on Base for the past two or three years has likely done quite well already. As for whether there will be an airdrop from Base in the future, we will have to wait and see.
For now, it is always good to remember the simple mantra: lower expectations, greater happiness.
