neynar likely didnt have a choice but to acquire farcaster - i dont think they were chomping at the hands for this opportunity.
they were all in on farcaster. if now merkle wants to call it a day, they got no option but to just see how far they could take it.
another team acquiring farcaster also brings in so much uncertainty to them - they probably thought its worth the gamble.

i think people overcomplicate creator monetization with things like - collectible casts, creator tokens etc.
instead, just double down on tips. you like something you tip - expect nothing in return.
