Beware nefarious algos in Coinbase...
I put in a sizable buy on ZEC a couple dollars below market. I was the only sizable order at that price and could see my order. But about 10 seconds later that price suddenly doubled in size. Feeling spooked I moved my order down $0.05 and the blob moved with it instantaneously. I moved it up $0.01 and it moved with it again. The market then met my price and I watched orders go through. I assumed they were mine since I moved my order first and should have been first in line but it turns out I was not. Not one of my orders to buy was transacted. I cancelled my buy and watched price then move up +1% in 5 minutes.
Pretty much I should have been first in line since I was making the algo follow me but Coinbase's system clearly has preferred order flow to some higher customer.
Fn creepy @barmstrong
2 "mega miners" are singlehandedly driving Donut price up here. They keep overpaying for glazing and with 3 days to go before halving I can't say I blame them.
This game. 🤦♂️
Sunday-Monday: Wall Street FUDs Microstrategy; crypto collapses.
Tuesday: Wall Street says Vanguard enables crypto ETF purchases finally for all accounts...And Bank of America recommends 1-4% crypto holding for managed portfolios; crypto rockets.
I'm loading up on as many Farcaster tokens that come my way as possible. Got a feeling like the next big idea in crypto is going to come from here. Need ideas though, what am I missing...
Been awhile since I've posted to Farcaster. Glad ya'll are still here. I'm spending too much time on Reddit these days and only micro amounts of time on X to see the people who shouldn't be trading losing everything during a 5-sigma rarity event...They'll be back of course.
