Introduction to the ChainOpera Project
Today, we are introducing ChainOpera AI, a new project established in 2024. Key Figures Behind the ChainOpera Project
Aiden Chaoyang He: Co-founder and President of ChainOpera, as well as Co-founder of TensorOpera AI. He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Southern California. Previously, he served as a technology executive at Tencent, Baidu, and Huawei, with a focus on integrating AI and blockchain technologies.
Salman Avestimehr: Co-founder of ChainOpera, Founder and CEO of FedML. He is a leading authority in machine learning and blockchain, a Fellow of IEEE, and a recipient of the U.S. Presidential Award. He is a professor at the University of Southern California, an advisor to Amazon, and deeply involved in the fields of federated learning and privacy-preserving computation.
Funding Information for the ChainOpera Project
To date, ChainOpera has completed only one seed funding round, raising $17 million. The exact date of this funding round was December 26, 2024. It attracted participation from several renowned venture capital firms, including Finality Capital Partners, IDG Capital, and Road Capital, which jointly led the round. Other institutions or individuals, such as ABCDE Capital, Amber Group, Modular Capital, Sparkle Ventures, and Acequia Capital, also participated as co-investors.
Core Innovations of ChainOpera
Dedicated AI Blockchain: The first L1 blockchain specifically designed for AI, adopting the PoRA consensus mechanism. It natively supports high-frequency AI computing and federated learning, breaking through the performance bottlenecks of general-purpose chains and enabling efficient decentralized AI operations.
