Thanks for stopping by, and hope you've had a creative or restful weekend. If you haven't seen my brief pinned tweet, read it please. Then this short video which was posted immediately after... Checked both of those out? Ok now you've got a basic idea of this community project - Let's All Support Each Other, Right Now - and its motivation. It is as simple as it sounds: sincere promotion of others. Many of us are already doing this occasionally or fairly regularly. My goal is to organize and maximize those activities, watch the positive effects, and build a community of artists in the process. I think you're here because you'd also like to see how far a dedicated group of like-minded creatives can go with pure human energy as our jump-start.
Before I go into the specifics of organizing and maximizing promotional activities, let me introduce myself. I'm Elated Pixel, artist, collectoor (fx KO EA are just three), interviewer, musician, virtual architect - in alphabetical order - and aspiring crypto and ^generative artist (^ever since I fell for Art Blocks. That's been a very rough road however). Linktree here. Btw if you do visit Pixelarity (virtual) Gallery - architect link above - please ignore the huge Nakamigos I'm just bullish on them.
DAOs I'm in: 2023 is about art and music for me, but DAOs I'm in and have been active in (there's a difference lol) are Bright Moments and (Chromie) Squiggle DAO. I'm in others as well, such as SeedClub and Friends With Benefits. What do I mean by 'active'? I've helped out at Bright Moments events and gifted personal art to the DAO for its use; I did two Grant projects for SquiggleDAO when Squiggle Grants was a thing (it's not r n). I also interviewed Tyler Hobbs on Spaces for Shamdoo's DAO (#IYKYK) in Jan '22 and it wasn't recorded but Tyler's team will confirm. One idea I've had is to do a song for each of the DAOs I'm in but thaaat hasn't happnd yet.
More history: I got into crypto when Bitcoin was $3k and watched it rise like a deer in headlights, seriously investing much further down the line, but unfortunately just before The Musky One FUD'd King Coin (BTC) along with China's crackdown on miners. Many might not cherish the memory of spring '21 when crypto tanked severely. However, NFT summer ensued. We are just now seeing a strong recuperation from that period! However this time in the U.S. the SEC (apparently) has guns drawn on crypto and CBDCs - central bank digital currencies - looms near. CBDCs alone have the potential to drastically alter or even wipe out the crypto / NFT market as we know it. No shock headline here: that's just the truth of the situation as I see it. In the US, the FedNow program is simply a precursor to CBDC, which is itself a global effort. Simply peek for a minute at the financial news of nearly any nation today and you'll see most are strongly considering a central bank digital currency.
And that brings us back around to Let's All Support Each Other, Right Now. Because it's in this 'post'-pandemic atmosphere, with all of its woes and concerns that I'm reaching out to fellow artists. The deeper motivation is that I want us to make a stand. For humanity, for creativity, for self-expression and the right to do so. For art and the joy of it, and the special inspiration it brings to other human beings (I'm not anti-A.I. btw, just pro-human). So there it is.
So what does participation in Let's All Support Each Other, Right Now (LASEO) involve? Your time and regular commitment at a comfort level that fits your schedule. And a Weekly Recap on Fridays on Twitter Spaces until that, too, gets renovated by Musky E. A few examples might do best here:
Glitch Monkey, artist and experienced video-maker for mobile, is very busy but excited about LASEO and commits to promoting two artists per week. He uses 30 sec video-tweets with 'automatic', non-composed music - available on iMovie, for ex. - for each new artist he's excited about (Glitch could make music but the auto-music saves time). He is sure to include links such as Twitter, Linktree, and even a collection URL to make it super easy for viewers to identify, follow, and reach out to the artist if desired. Also, familiar with Lens Protocol, Glitch mirrors his Tweets on Lens to earn some income there, as Lenstube videos are NFTs that can be collected for a fee set by the creator (or free).
Samantha N., artist and writer, is also interested in LASEO. More comfortable writing than vid-editing, she decides to commit to three artists per week by briefly reviewing their work on her Mirror blog, which has a growing audience. Sam makes attractive articles for each, including images of their work, Twitter and Linktree if they have that. Wanting a few words from the artists about their respective pieces, she asks for and gets short explanatory quotes from 2/3 (just trying to be real here lol), relating to their works.
Mattias, a musician, has been growing a robust YouTube audience for about 5 yrs and his followship is in the 5-digit range. A Web3 enthusiast, he's been burnt by Spotify's digital feudalism and wants to get more from his creative investment hours. Excited about LASEO, Mattias simply does what's natural and makes great videos - only this time, others are in the spotlight. He commits to four artists per week by making 2 high-quality, 2 min videos with original, copyrighted music - each video covering two artists. He makes a LASEO playlist on his YT page, posts the vids there and mirrors them in full on Twitter and Lens, where he also has an account. On Lens Mattias charges 1 Matic for each collectible vid post. That's fair because on Twitter there's no 2ndary market potential, so although his audience can watch his Tweets they can't directly invest in them.
There are tons more examples but I think these adequately express the required actions and commitment. The main thing to remember is that LASEO will work best if you commit consistently. And that commitment choice depends on thinking it through - to quote Wag The Dog (great movie btw). If you need to downsize or want to upsize your commitment, that adjustment is expected somewhat, and is fine. The goal is to pick a commitment method and frequency that is the most sustainable. There will be seasons where your commitment level decreases out of necessity, and increases with more time-availability. Also, people need breaks from nearly every activity except breathing, so forever perpetual commitment to Let's All Support Each Other, Right Now is not what I'm asking for. Just make it a healthy habit, like jogging, meditation, or reading (not online sports betting or jpeg flipping).
Quotas - Quotas are simply the number of artists you commit to promoting each week. Ideally one artist per promo. To save time, two artists can be covered per promo, but I suggest no more than that, to keep each promo as personal as possible. Otherwise, cramming happens, and the names and activities of your spotlighted artists are less cared about by your viewers.
Weekly Recap (new, more exciting name to be announced) - Like all goal-oriented activities, a recap is a productive and fun way to see where we're at, individually and as a community. I'd like LASEO to grow into a healthy, self-motivated, market-proof community of multi-talented creatives who learn to make our own sub-markets rather than wait for what Elon or the next bloated influenza (influencer) does. Web3 is called the 'creator economy' and I know everyone reading this takes that phrase seriously. For me, it means an economy resulting from the actions of Web2 - liberated, confident, innovative, self-motivated creatives. But there is responsibility, here (don't worry, I'm not going to quote Spider-Man). Basically it's that YOU ARE the energy in the room. Not the DJ who's on the way. And certainly not the ever-scheming Influenza (Cuban sandwich, anyone?). So you can also say the 'creator economy' means to create your own economy, which is essentially what crypto allows us to do. Looking at the phrase in the second way better emphasizes that energy-in-the-room responsibility imo.
SOCIALS - We all use Twitter and I refer to the Blue Bird here often. For some reason, CT was born on Twitter and the site and its future is tied up with the broader crypto community. But as we all know, that can change and change quickly. It's good to hedge against such possible futures by thinking of alternatives, now. Thankfully, there are Clubhouse, Mastodon, BlueSky (in beta), and Lens (kind of still in beta. Ask Stani), and most recently as of this post, Substack Notes (I've been on Substack for over a year and am trying to figure out Notes...could use your non-financial help to find out if it's a practical forum, Off-Twitter). There are others as well. My hunch is The Musky One is priming Twitter to become the bullhorn for the 2024 U.S. Election, as well as some type of paid service that might incorporate $DOGE. Creative expression is not the way of the Dogeman, though he is starting to pedal these notions. Yes, there is Instagram, although it recently - probably only temporarily - abandoned its courtship of the NFT community. I loathe FB, although it owns Instagram ~ sigh ~. And have no experience whatsoever with TTok although I can say governments seem to hate the thing.
So, the gist of Let's All Support Each Other, Right Now, IS: (not yelling just like how caps stand out for recaps) ON A WEEKLY BASIS YOU'LL REASONABLY CHOOSE AT LEAST TWO ARTISTS (graphic, music, poetry, multi-, etc.) YOU'RE VERY INTO, TO THE DEGREE YOU'RE WILLING TO FREELY PROMOTE THEM IN A METHODICAL MANNER (text + image or vid + one or two working links + Linktree or equiv if avail) AND BE AVAILABLE FRIDAYS (start date + time tba) TO SHARE YOUR EXPERIENCES ON TWITTER SPACES WITH OTHER 'MEMBERS' OF LASEO. All current followers of either @voxeliving and @guydanielsIII are automatically invited to participate in what should prove to be a profitable, fun, and educational, and perhaps most importantly, a spirit-building social networking experiment!

IS 'LET'S ALL SUPPORT EACH OTHER, RIGHT NOW' A DAO? No.
IS 'LASEO' A MEMBERSHIP? Yes, but loosely and I'll tell you how + why. Last week I was asked about this by a creative who was interested in the project but was taken aback by it being followers only. My response was that LASEO being 'followers only' is for purposes of limited scaling - in other words to keep things manageable, size-wise. Never monetization, now or future (jump into predatory relationships in a Capitalist society). I think the perfect 'membership' is each one of my 700 combined Twtr followers (btw this deeper dive into my take on followship may surprise you) because y'all know me somewhat by my content. I'd like to get to know you better. Really. I'd be very excited and admittedly overwhelmed if around 700 people gathered in a hall to meet me. I think anyone of us would. Now imagine 700,000. That's why I don't want more than 10k followers on any one social - that number might decrease, in fact - and I'm constantly thinking of ways to reach that anti-goal, such as starting a completely new Twitter account wen numbers r too big and asking everyone to please follow me there...etc.
Az uzual, some art before I part (my Substack readers are familiar with this). This time one of my own works - OG Hall in Just a Plain Vox House - from what would have been my Life in the 'Verse series on - - (mystery marketplace) but thazz another story. Enjoy!

Artfully yours,
Elated Pixel

IS 'LASEO' FOR GRAPHIC ARTISTS ONLY? No. These requests and basic plan for community-building will probably reach graphic artists first, since that group and compu scientists made up the NFT market before photographers, musicians and poets came to the scene...and dancers and actors will show up as well. All artists can benefit from NFTs (!). And I consider you all my fellow artists-in-struggle (regardless of personal wealth / success cuz it's always a struggle to be consistently creative. Fax. Facts i meant)
WEN TOKEN? You can toke right now if you want, but I don't smoke. Ok that token. No. I'm not against it, as there can be practical and fun use-cases down the line. But not right now. Now the focus is free DIY promotion of others in a methodical, consistent way.
AM I PLANNING TO MAKE 'LASEO' A PAID MEMBERSHIP? No, never. The whole point is to harness the awesome, often overlooked, raw power of human intent and energy.
AM I PLANNING TO MAKE 'LASEO' A COMPANY? No. See above response. I can see companies coming out of this, however, as the inspiration Let's All Support Each Other, Right Now will provide to participants is immeasurable.
AM I USING 'LASEO' TO GROW MY FOLLOWS? No. Please read this. I don't want a trillion followers in order to monetize (exploit) them. I'm considering if I even want 10k flws. What I want is a community to grow and create with in times that are becoming more challenging, dystopian, and perhaps even anti-creative every day. I basically want to create and buidl with my creative brothers and sisters of all artistic disciplines until I leave this Earth or until we can't...whichev comes 1st.
WEN FIRST 'LASEO' SPACES? I'd like at least 10 thoroughly committed folks onboard in order to have our first LASEO Spaces. Ok I'll settle for 5. But they'd have to be practically ready to get a LASEO tatoo (Naah. Would be cool tho...).
