Blockchain games are very popular this year, with particular attention given to well-known games like Axie Infinity, Splinterlands, and Crypto Kitties. But that doesn’t mean they’re the only platform out there if you want to play games built on the blockchain. A developer making a name for itself in this niche is Ideaverse.
Let’s take a closer look at who this up-and-coming developer is and what they have to offer.
Ideaverse Game Studio (IDV) is a “game developer that embraces the concept of DAO governance.” Backed by well-known Enterprise Performance Management group Metora, Ideaverse aims to develop only top-tier blockchain games.
However, Ideaverse aims to take things a step further. The company wants to create blockchain games that are fun and accessible for everyone, not just those who understand the ins and outs of blockchain technology.
The developer believes that game players should “Play Beyond Fun.” Using blockchain applications for its infrastructure, Ideaverse focuses on bringing unique and sustainable games to its users. Because of its philosophy, Ideaverse provides ever-improving experiences to those who play their games.
Ideaverse has a few games already that will be available soon, with several more in the pipeline. Here’s what you can expect to see during the next year and a half from Ideaverse.
This blockchain-integrated game uses simulation and real-time strategy while employing NFT elements along with a P2E (Play-to-Earn) system. In Horde of the Apocalypse, the only goal for players is to conquer the world.
By focusing on GameFi, Ideaverse has created a game that allows players to earn crypto rewards while playing HOTA. These rewards are collected by completing daily tasks, completing quests, performing achievements, or even winning seasonal events and tournaments.
This Monopoly adventure game is part of the Fortune Heroes games. Players will experience a GameFi-type board game as they go through challenges and quests to earn crypto while playing. There are plenty of different game modes available, which makes Fortune Heroes: Monopoly a must-play game.
This RPG + Tycoon-based game is built on the Horde of the Apocalypse story arc. However, Apocalypse Run is a management simulation game, so don’t be disappointed that it’s not a direct sequel to HOTA.
This is the second game in the Fortune Heroes series. As you can tell by its name, it’s a Texas Hold’em-based poker game. However, players have the option to play in a variety of modes or challenge others to battles.
Fantasy Land is a Construction and Management Simulation based on the Metaverse Land of the Metora Planet. Ideaverse will make NFTs a significant part of the game, creating them for land, resources, and architecture. Plus, the developer plans to give NFTs in Fantasy Land uses in other games in the Heroes series.l
There is much more about the Ideaverse platform to cover, but I’m going to stop here for now. I plan to review the Ideaverse DAO soon, which is an interesting way to go about developing blockchain-based games. Overall, Ideaverse is a legitimate blockchain game developer with plenty of success in its future.
