
Three suspects have been arrested in connection with the death of a 14-year-old boy who had recently undergone circumcision in Kiamaina village, Kiugoine, Nakuru County, police said.
The boy, who underwent circumcision on November 20, died three days later.
A postmortem conducted on Wednesday by Government Pathologist Dr Titus Ngulungu at the Annex Farewell Home in Nakuru indicated that the cause of death was serious assault, which resulted in trauma to the stomach.
The postmortem report also noted injuries on the boy’s back, hands, and head.
According to police, the boy had complained of stomach pain before he was found dead, with his body reported to be swollen when discovered on November 24.
The three suspects, including a 16-year-old, are reported to have assaulted the boy.
Police said the other suspects are caregivers of the deceased. The motive for the attack remains under investigation.

The suspects were presented in court, and police were granted 14 days to hold them pending further investigations.
In a separate incident in Miteitei village, Nandi County, police arrested a mother in connection with the death of her eight-year-old son. The woman was reportedly rescued from an angry crowd at the scene on Wednesday night.
Police said locals, responding to screams, forced open the house and found the boy lying in a pool of blood with multiple injuries to his head and back. Authorities reported that only the boy and his mother were in the house at the time.
A machete believed to have been used in the attack was recovered at the scene. Police said the motive for the incident is still under investigation. The boy’s body was moved to the mortuary pending auto
