Nestled in the heart of Downtown Portland’s Pearl District, our concept unites a public facing stop-motion animation set with a café, tap room, event space and screening room. It is indeed a 30,000 sq ft creative playground for builders, creators and makers shaping the future every single day.
The studio launched the $STOPMO token to seed a long-term liquidity pool supporting sustainable animation production; a gamified loop driven by in-store activity and community participation that grows the ecosystem every month.

Our studio café is located in a major landmark in Downtown Portland’s Pearl District. We’re building a cultural engine where regulars and tourists can sip curated coffee, bite into next-gen donuts, and literally watch our award-winning team bring stories to life.
With an open-concept café overlooking the live animation stage—viewable from multiple sides, including a catwalk—we’re creating a destination where story and culinary craft intersect. The concept is a defining expression of Portland’s creative identity and Base is the key to unlocking the new creator economy right here in our hometown.

Guests can watch our Emmy and Oscar-winning team build sets and puppets and animate live, while enjoying locally roasted coffee and handcrafted donuts. After hours, the upstairs taproom offers local beer and wine, and our screening room features new work, festival events, and weekend community showcases.
From the catwalk above or nearly any seat in the café, guests can see the magic unfold: our stop-motion opossum mascot tearing through a tiny Portland set—down rain-soaked alleys, into hidden tunnels, and beyond. Along the way: moments for brands like yours to organically cameo inside the handcrafted story itself. Followers can view daily posts across all social channels, and even vote on what happens next. At the end of each week and month, viewers can see the longer story come to life.
Flannel Donut is founded and led by Emmy Award-winning Director Rob Shaw, alongside Webby nominated Pattern Integrity Films’ Kristen Kingsbury and Pippin Beard.

$STOPMO was a fair launch Base preclank on Farcaster, with an animated announcement short film supported by Clanker, launched to power the studio-café experience. It turns daily purchases into creative fuel—merch, limited edition production artifacts, hidden branded and gamified “easter eggs” in our animated content, and community contributions—all grow the ecosystem.
Transaction fees support new productions, and over time will help fund scholarships and experimental projects across the film3 community.

Our nonprofit arm, The Film3 Foundation—supported by Pattern Integrity Films—launched its first festival in August 2025 at the Onchain Summit in San Francisco. The Foundation supports innovative work that pushes storytelling forward and returns indie cinema to its roots: creative freedom and thriving artistic communities.
We’ve built film3 tools, taught workshops, and compiled educational materials—creating a sustainable economy for independent film powered by participation.
