No matter how successful you are in life and career, you can't resist the weakness of human nature. Everyone doesn't want to get up for a few days, but... What if this feeling lasts for days, weeks, or even months? What should we do when we feel that we have lost our goal and are at a loss and just want to give up, career or feelings? Here are seven things you should do when you feel like giving up.
Ask yourself "why" As Simon Simmons said, everything starts with 'why'. Sometimes we will start a business because of a flash of thought in our mind, but finally forget our original intention. Work and feelings are the first to be affected by people losing themselves and questioning their choices and behaviors. Maybe you don't remember when you last felt happy. Maybe the place you yearn for in your mind is no longer colorful, but gradually turns into a black-and-white picture. Go back to the beginning and find the source of everything.
Learn to feel uneasy Life is not easy. There are always so many difficulties waiting for us to overcome on the way of life. If you are prepared in advance, you will feel much better if you accept the fact that things will be difficult and that life is not only about good things. When you feel your life is unchanging, learn to breathe a sigh of relief and recall your purpose. What is the purpose of your hard work? What is the meaning of your hard life?
Persistence is victory Winstonchurchill said; "If you want to make an important point, don't be wordy, and don't be smart. Just say the point, and explain your point repeatedly." the key to success is persistence. In the process of starting my business, I want to give up many times. It is perseverance that supports me and helps me through the difficulties. Truly understand and fully believe that persistence is victory and self-improvement.
Find someone to accompany you to pursue your goals You woke up in the morning and decided to quit smoking today. You have made great decisions, but you don't want to tell anyone, in case you want a cigarette after tea. Find a "trusted friend" to monitor yourself. Yes, it sounds terrible, but it can ensure that you are reminded to keep your promise. Make sure your friends urge you to do what you say. Of course, there will always be hard times in life – but you already know that. Whenever you want to give up because of difficulties, remind yourself that life is not plain sailing. Accept the challenges of life, face them, and learn how to meet them.
Make yourself happy We are always in fear from time to time. We are born with fear. But don't let yourself sink into a soap opera with a bucket of ice cream on the sofa. All you have to do is make yourself happy! Think about what made you happy the last time, and then make yourself happy again! To me that is music. I can turn up the volume and hit my iPod. The fast disco music makes me high.
I am proud of myself Sometimes we forget to stop and enjoy the scenery along the way. We have done a lot, but we often forget to applaud our achievements and efforts. Be proud of your success. Review your progress every three months. You should be proud of even a small progress. The next time you want to give up, ask yourself if you have done your best.
