So last night as I was about to sleep, I heard a loud scream coming from the building next to mine.

At that point I was on a call with a friend but I quickly rushed to the window so I can try seeing what’s going on and even had to end the call when the woman continued screaming. Her words were “ you want to kill me with a knife Abi “ and I just saw the door open and a young man who I believe to be the junior brother to the woman came out to open the door to a neighbor.   She continued shouting and abusing someone and it was the Husband all this while.Guess the reason for the shouting, the man was complaining she kept coming back home late recently. 

That she has this weird company of friends who is now influencing her behavior and even takes her to places.. her reply caught my attention, “When last did you pay for anything” It dawned on me that the man is going through financial difficulties and hasn’t been doing much at home. She even asked him “ if he was the one that paid for the children’s school fees’.

Constantly abusing the man in the presence of the neighbors and the junior brother 😔😔😔. Actually left me with the feeling of how marriage in this present generation will be. Where there is no gratitude and love. Where respect is absent . Obviously my environment has fueled my desire not to be in a relationship till I get my life together financially for my own sake. Life is crazy when you can’t provide.
