Brazil – Conducts trade with China in yuan, not dollars.
United Arab Emirates – Begins piloting a new payment system that does not use SWIFT.
Iraq – Enables RMB-denominated payments for imports from China.
South Africa – Developing a BRICS payment system to reduce its reliance on the dollar.
Malaysia – Supports the establishment of the Asian Fund to reduce its reliance on the dollar.
Azerbaijan – Expands RMB-denominated trade with China.
Kazakhstan – Expands RMB-denominated trade with China.
BRICS – Currently has 10 member countries. The economic size of member countries is rapidly approaching that of the United States.
