AC Milan claimed a hard-fought 1-0 victory over AS Roma last night at the San Siro, in a match that kept fans on the edge of their seats till the final whistle.
The breakthrough came just before halftime when Strahinja Pavlović finished off a clever move started by Rafael Leão down the left. Roma fought back fiercely, pushing Milan deep into their half, and nearly found an equaliser after being awarded a late penalty. But Mike Maignan stood tall, diving low to deny Paulo Dybala from the spot.
With this win, Milan keep their Serie A title hopes very much alive, while Roma are left ruing missed chances in what was a thrilling encounter under the Milanese lights.
