Barcelona returned to form last night with a confident 3–1 win over Elche at the Montjuïc Olympic Stadium, as Lamine Yamal and Marcus Rashford stole the spotlight in a lively encounter.
The breakthrough came early when Yamal, calm and composed beyond his years, fired home after a clever run from Alejandro Balde. The teenager’s goal lifted the crowd and set the tone for a much-improved Barça display. Moments later, Ferran Torres doubled the advantage, punishing Elche’s defensive lapse to make it 2–0.
Elche fought back, pulling one back through Rafa Mir before halftime, but Barcelona’s attack remained sharp. In the second half, Marcus Rashford — who has steadily adapted to life in Spain — produced a stunning strike off the bar to restore the two-goal cushion and put the game beyond reach.
With Yamal dazzling once again and Rashford finding his rhythm, Barcelona looked dangerous and determined. The win lifts them to second place in La Liga, just behind Real Madrid, keeping their title hopes very much alive.
