Manchester United produced one of their most exciting performances of the season, defeating Brighton 4–2 in a thrilling clash at Old Trafford.
Matheus Cunha opened the scoring with a stunning strike before Casemiro’s deflected effort made it 2–0 by half-time. Bryan Mbeumo extended the lead after the break, but Brighton hit back through Danny Welbeck’s free-kick and a late header from Charalampos Kostoulas.
Just when the visitors threatened a comeback, Mbeumo struck again in stoppage time to seal the points.
It was a vital victory for United and manager Rúben Amorim, ending their poor run against Brighton and keeping their winning momentum alive in the Premier League.
