Key Architecture Components
The architecture of the Movement Network is built on a modular framework called the Move Stack, which consists of three (3) main components:
Move Executor: Processes transactions. Contracts written in both Move and Solidity (EVM) can be executed quickly on the MoveVM through parallel processing.
Decentralized Shared Sequencer (DSS): This decentralized Sequencer provides fast finality in managing transactions and reduces the possibility of censorship.
Fast Finality Settlement (FSS): Helps finalize transactions.
Security and Governance
EVM Control Plane: The network’s core EVM contracts are built using the EIP-1967 Proxy and Gnosis Safe Multisig standards.
Ops Multisig (N7): The highest level of governance of the network is handled by Ops Multisig N7, which requires 4 out of 7 signatures and is responsible for making upgrades.
$MOVE$ Token: This is the native currency of the network and is used for Staking, Transaction Fees, Governance (voting), and Cross-chain Liquidity.
Cross-Chain: Movement uses LayerZero technology to easily transfer $MOVE Tokens between different Blockchain networks.
In short, Movement Network is a high-performance Layer 2 Blockchain that combines the modular architecture, security, and speed of MoveVM with the broad ecosystem of EVM.
