There used to be gaps between things —
The bus ride.
The line at the bank.
Waiting for someone who’s late.
That space — where nothing happened — was where thoughts emerged: slowly, weirdly, often inconveniently.
Now?
🌀 The void is gone.
🌀 The silence has been monetized.
🌀 The pause has been replaced with push notifications.
We don’t get bored anymore.
We get distracted.
We get algorithmically hijacked.
And here’s the wild theory:
The internet didn’t just kill our attention — it devoured our imagination.
You don’t need to imagine if you’re always looking.
You don’t need to think if someone already tweeted the summary.
You don’t need to feel — just scroll, react, repost.
We’ve become spectators to our own consciousness.
We’re not burnt out.
We’re soul-lost.
That low-key ache?
That strange fog?
That feeling that something’s off even when everything’s “fine”?
It’s the part of you that used to dream.
The part that used to wander when no one was watching.
Not detox.
Not performative digital minimalism.
Not another productivity app disguised as "wellness."
We need a rebellion of stillness.
✨ Do nothing — and don’t share it.
✨ Sit in silence — and let it be awkward.
✨ Let boredom ferment into clarity.
Silence isn’t empty.
It’s the place where selfhood gets built.
So if you read this far…
👉 Close this tab.
👉 Turn off your phone.
👉 Do nothing.
👉 Let your mind wander.
Not for productivity.
Not for a thread.
Just because you’re still human.
