Method 1: Creating a New Wallet (Most Common)

This is for users who are new to Phantom and don't have an existing wallet to import.

1. Download the Phantom App

– Go to the official Phantom website: https://phantom.app/

– Download the extension for your browser (Chrome, Brave, Firefox, Edge, etc.) from the official store. Never download from a third-party site.

2. Install and Open Phantom

– Once installed, click on the Phantom icon in your browser's toolbar to open it.

3. Start the Process

– A welcome screen will appear. Click on "Create New Wallet".

4. Learn About Your Secret Phrase

– Phantom will show you a very important message about your Secret Recovery Phrase. This phrase is the master key to your wallet and all your funds. Read it carefully and click "Continue".

5. Write Down Your Secret Recovery Phrase

– You will now see a list of 12 or 24 random words. This is your Secret Recovery Phrase.

– ⚠️ CRITICAL:

▪️ Write it down on paper and store it in a safe, secure place.

▪️ Never share these words with anyone. Phantom support will NEVER ask for it.

▪️ Never store it in a text file, email, or screenshot on your computer.

▪️ Anyone with these words can steal all your assets.

6. Confirm Your Phrase

– To ensure you wrote it down correctly, Phantom will ask you to select the words in the correct order. Tap on the words in the sequence you recorded.

7. Create a Password

– Create a strong password. This password is only for unlocking the Phantom extension on *this specific browser and device*. It does not recover your wallet if you lose your Secret Phrase.

8. You're All Set!

– Your wallet is now ready! You'll be taken to your main wallet dashboard where you can see your wallet address (starting with something

like 8q1...) and your balance.
