I really did not understand what I was getting involved in. The group had a retreat about 30 min outside of Mexico city to do a Temescal. You can imagine a Temescal to be a sweat lodge invented by our indigenous Mesoamericans. But there was something a little off about this. The Temescal looked like a clay hut, about 3ft tall. There was about 20 of us evenly split gender wise. The Shaman split the group by gender. First the woman would go then the men. We waited for what appeared to be 2 hour...
