What is Cambria
Cambria is an onchain MMO which combines elements of old school MMORPGs like RuneScape and WoW with real stakes and a risk-reward system. It's been self described as a risk-to-earn MMO. They recently had their first season of playtesting as well as a mini duel arena event, and are ramping up for a second season soon.
NFTs
There are two main NFTs in the Cambria ecosystem. The Founder NFT and the Cores.

The founder NFT is the first and rarest NFT offering that Cambria has had. It comes with a lot of cool benefits and opportunities:
First Access: Founder NFT holders will get the first access to Cambria opportunities such as mints, early access events and gain a separate allocation in the token airdrop.
In-game Utility: The Founder NFT will give holders a special in-game distinction (the "Ser" title), reduced fees, landed property and a special falcon companion (used for hunting, tracking and resource gathering). Founders will also be able to access the special in-game hub, with free restoration altars and stalls.
Scroll Benefits: A bit more ambiguous is the Scroll, which is a dynamic document that will track each Founder's contributions to Cambria's development and provide benefits in accordance.

The second NFT offering that Cambria has launched is the Cores, which are Factory NFTs. These are also pretty cool, and their basis is to allow players to directly own in-game assets. They provide the following benefits:
Staking Rewards: You can stake your Core, which will generate different shard rewards. Shards are the currency with which owners can mint new NFTs such as companions and skins. The staking contract is scheduled to go live Jan/Feb 2025.
Currently, there will be two types of shards that each core will generate: Companion and Skin shards.
There are 4 tiers of Cores (the base shard values have not been released yet. The shard multiplier represents the calculation [Base x Multiplier]. The base is defaulted to 100 shards for both types.):
Tier 1: The Normal Core, which has a 1x shard multiplier
Tier 2: The Enhanced Core, which has a 1.25x shard multiplier
Tier 3: The Mystic Core, which has a 2x shard multiplier
Tier 4: The Arcane Core, which has a 5x shard multiplier. It may also be used to design other future cosmetic related systems.
Exclusivity: Higher tier Cores (2+) grant access to exclusive skins, companions and other possible unlocks. These scale based on the tier of your core, higher tier cores will get access to more exclusive offers. To access these offers your cores need to be staked for 30 days prior.
Additionally, owning a Founder NFT will give you a discount to these exclusive offers, up to 90% (based on Loyalty Score).
Airdrops: Accumulating shards will grant players scores in game that are a bonus factor in the Cambria airdrop.

The third type of NFTs I've glossed over previously, are the companions and the skins.
Companions are very similar to WoW mounts/pets, as they can provide different perks and utility to players. The initial companion types will be Human, Feline, Avian, Griffin and Wyvern. Below are a list of possible perks that are being tested currently:
Common Perks:
Bank space expansion or bank tabs
Faster focus point regen
Presets/loadouts usage
Type Limited Perks:
Automated loot collection, crafting, banking, selling or repairing
Threat detection, scouting or off-screen tracking indicators
Pathfinding assistance or preconfigures action sequences
These perks are minor benefits or advantages that companions can provide you, they will not work in certain gamemodes like the Duel Arena.
Companions can be created through summoning. Core holders can spend their shards to summon a random companion which is directly minted into the NFT collection. These companions can then be traded with other players on the secondary market.
The shard cost for summoning companions vary using a dynamic pricing formula in order to reduce the cost as the number of cores remains the same and the demand increases. Every summon attempt has a chance (less if you have a high shard balance) of failing. Summoning has a 24 hour cooldown, and can be performed in batches.
Skins are NFTs that only apply to companions in the first version, but may be expanded upon in future releases. They are released with key mints (at a fixed cost and won by a random core holder) or through limited edition releases.
