A small, succulent or fleshy fruit, usually of shrubby or herbaceous plants, in fruit growing, a fruit in which the entire pericarp is edible. This definition does not fully correspond to the botanical term “berry", from a botanical point of view, berries include tomatoes and do not include raspberries and strawberries.
