Welcome to cryptomarketblog, the number one blog for crypto education. Here we explain the topics of the cryptocurrency using examples so that anyone can easily understand them. In this article we are going to show how to Deploy a Contract On Shardeum.
Shardeum is an EVM-based, linearly scalable smart contract platform that provides low gas fees forever while maintaining true decentralization and solid security through dynamic state sharding.
Shardeum has confirmed to launch its own token $SHM and hinted of doing an airdrop. They reserved 5% off total supply to Ecosystem / Airdrops and 51% node mining. There is speculation that who runs Shardeum Sphinx Betanet Node may get an airdrop after they launch the toke, here is a guide.
Here is a step-by-step guide on how to Deploy a Contract On Shardeum.
Requirement:
Need a MetaMask wallet, with SHM on Shardeum Sphinx testnet.
Step 1: Add Shardeum Sphinx Testnet to Wallet
Way 1: Go to https://docs.shardeum.org/Network/Endpoints#connect-wallet and click on “Click to Connect to Sphinx 1.X” button then metamask pop-up will open with sphinx 1.x network details click on “Approve” to add network to metamask.
Way 2: Add Manually
Open your MetaMask wallet go to Networks > Add a network > Add a network manually add below details.
Network Name : Shardeum Sphinx 1.X
New RPC URL : https://sphinx.shardeum.org/
Chain ID : 8082
Currency symbol : SHM
Block Explorer URL : https://explorer-sphinx.shardeum.org/
Step 2: Faucet funds
go to https://faucet-sphinx.shardeum.org/ and request funds if it won’t work go to shardeum discord channel and request funds at #faucet-1.0 channel.
Step 3: Create Contract code using Openzeppelin Contracts Wizard
Visit Openzeppelin -> enter name of your token, token symbol, and token supply of token -> click on ‘Open in Remix’
Step 4: Compilation
Go to the Solidity Compiler from the left-panel -> click on 'contract-0de7a97c9c.sol' -> If there is no error you'll see a green tick on solidity compiler button
Step 5: Deployment
We are deploying this on Shardeum Sphinx testnet, switch your MetaMask wallet to Shardeum Sphinx.
Go to the Deploy & Run Transactions sidebar from the left-panel -> Select environment as 'Injected Provider - MetaMask' -> Click on Deploy -> confirm MetaMask transaction
That’s it. You’ve successfully deployed a contract on the Shardeum Sphinx testnet.
