The wide-spread news that Opensea is considering IPO has disappointed the community that use and grow the platform. If Opensea go public listing, it not only hurt the entire web3 community but also hurt themselves. In the period of Web3, it’s the win-win between the team and the community. Any project that hurts the benefit of the community won’t last in the long term. Let’s see what path will Opensea choose: IPO to favor web2 users or governance tokens to reward web3 users.
