Ethereum has been around for a few years now, and during that time it's proven itself to be a powerful platform for decentralized applications. Despite the bear market we're currently in, Ethereum is still going strong and there's no sign that it's going to go away any time soon.
There are a lot of other layer one platforms out there that claim they can compete with Ethereum, but so far none of them have been able to come close. ETH has a massive network effect thanks to its well-established community and developer base, and this is something that no other platform can match.

The current bear market has shown us just how resilient Ethereum is; even when the price of Ether drops significantly, the network still continues to function smoothly. This is because people aren't using Ether solely as an investment vehicle - they're actually using it as currency for buying goods and services on various dApps.
So while some newer platforms may be able to offer slightly higher transaction speeds or lower fees, Ethereum will always be the most established and reliable option available. There's simply no way that anyone could overtake it at this point in time.
