We stopped actively developing everything.
I guess this decision should have been made as early as this March, but we blindly thought that the market conditions would allow us to keep going. But seeing what happened in TradFi markets as well as Celsius trouble and 3AC thing (oh boy), we agreed to halt all the work.
Simply put, it'll be suicidal for a small team like ours to launch anything NFT-related in these conditions. By today's standards, we're pretty sure we don't hold another BAYC on our hands, but instead, it's a much more challenging project to gain an audience. So we've decided to let go for a while. Busting our asses off right now is not worth 20 Twitter likes.
Of course, it's a bummer. As I shared previously here, we have been in development since last December. Lots of great people have done lots of great concepts and prototypes. We even managed to attract a fantastic technical partner to realize the initial vision for the project. Everybody is in pain, work-related or not, so we should take things slow and move one step at a time. Observe the market conditions and act accordingly.
And actually, we're in a great position, to be honest. We're not overleveraged and not connected with certain schedule obligations. The budget was (and still is) relatively small, which allowed us to make mistakes and pivot at the right time. Everybody in the team has side gigs, so they are not solely dependent on this project to release and make instant fuck-you-money. For all of us, it's a passion project. It can wait.
Talk to you soon.
