Why have a whitelist event? Two reasons: community & funding. The event will allow us to promote the $SNS and build out the community. The funds raised will help us continue marketing and development efforts without giving away significant chunks of the project to investors. When will the official release be? The official release will take place on the day of the SUI mainnet launch.
When will the resolver come out? The resolver extension will be released approximately 2 weeks after the whitelist event - 8/20/22 (if not sooner). This extension will allow you to resolve and send "SUI" to people based on their registered name. It will also be the hub for all $SNS based products and eventually your profile as well. Think of it as your Crypto Gmail account.
What are the benefits of participating? Immense. If you've read the whitepaper and understand what we're doing, you know you don't want to miss out on this release. What is the project blueprint? Our whitepaper is currently available here. We are currently in the Payments phase which will last into Q1 of 2023. This is the part where we build out our community and establish ourselves as a name-service in the space.
How many spots will be released? There are 500 available name slots. This means that you will be able to register whatever name you want on our name service before it is opened to the public for registrations. (It's like registering any website domain you want before website domains came out!)
How much will the mint be? Pricing for our name-service is annual and based on the length of the domain you register. (We can't automatically charge you, but we will remind you to re-register annually!) Failure to re-register will simply take away your ownership NFT. Our whitelist event charges will be done in SUI for simplicity & will be less then our release pricing. Prices are pending. Please note that upon registering your domain, you will receive complete rights to use that ".SUI" domain as you please along with any accompanying NFT images.
What is the format of the domains?
Each domain must be alphanumeric and at least 2 letters in length. We also allow for the dash ("-") character to be included.
Are we open-source?
Yes, before our official release, we will be open-sourcing all of our relevant code repositories on Github. We want the community to see our active development and be active in our development as well.
Can I list the domain on a marketplace?
Yes. Once you have successfully registered your domain, you will be able to list it on any partnered exchanges. We are currently applying to MagicEden and Solanart to have our collection listed. It should be completed before the whitelist event.
How can I get more whitelist spots?
Inviting your friends! If you go to the discord and look at the #affiliate channel, you can setup your own invite link and invite friends. For every 3 invites, you will automatically get another whitelist spot. Are you a legally registered company?
Yes we are legally registered as SolNames LLC in the state of Delaware.
How long will it take to realize the $SNS vision?
We estimate to complete the current public roadmap steps by Q4 2023, but to realize the $SNS vision for business ventures, community-involvement and gaming, we expect it to take 5+ years. In 1 year, we will be big in Solana. In 5 years, we will be massive in the crypto space.
