On January 29, the first session of the 15th Guiyang Municipal People’s Congress held its third plenary session. The meeting elected the chairman, vice chairmen, secretary general and members of the Standing Committee of the 15th Guiyang Municipal People’s Congress, the mayor and vice mayor of Guiyang Municipal People’s government, the director of Guiyang Municipal Supervision Committee, the president of Guiyang intermediate people’s court and the procurator general of Guiyang Municipal People’s Procuratorate.

Hu Zhongxiong, executive chairman of the general assembly and executive chairman of the presidium, presided over the meeting.

Ma Ningyu, sun Dengfeng, Nie Xuesong, Shi Banglin, Tao Pingsheng, Zheng Guoning, Teng Weihua, Ruan Xiaoyan, Qiu bin, Liao Ziyang, Wang Shili and Liu Fenggang, executive chairmen of the presidium of the general assembly, were seated in front of the rostrum.

The sixth meeting of the presidium of the first session of the 15th Municipal People’s Congress confirmed that Nie Xuesong was elected as the director of the Standing Committee of the Municipal People’s Congress and Ma Ningyu was elected as the mayor of the Municipal People’s government.

The meeting also elected seven deputy directors of the Standing Committee of the 15th Municipal People’s Congress. They are Liu Jun, Wei Dingmei, Zhuo Fei, Zhang Jianjun, Tian Shengsong, Liu Liangguo and Huang Chenghong. The meeting elected Hu Xiangqun as the Secretary General of the Standing Committee of the 15th Municipal People’s Congress and elected 30 members of the Standing Committee of the 15th Municipal People’s Congress. The meeting elected seven vice mayors: Wang Yi, Chen Gang, long Cong, Liu Lan, ran bin, Lin Gang and song Xusheng. The meeting elected Zheng Guoning as the director of the Municipal Supervision Commission, Dai Shiju as the president of the Municipal Intermediate People’s court, and Jiang Zhengquan as the chief procurator of the Municipal People’s Procuratorate. The newly elected chief procurator of the Municipal People’s Procuratorate must be reported to the chief procurator of the Guizhou Provincial People’s Procuratorate for approval by the Standing Committee of the Guizhou Provincial People’s Congress.

365 delegates shall attend the meeting and 353 delegates shall vote. A total of 353 ballots were issued on the spot, and 353 ballots were actually recovered. The election is valid.

The meeting voted and approved the list of members of the special committees of the Municipal People’s Congress.

Before the election, the meeting fully carried forward democracy and made full preparations for candidates. After the fifth meeting of the presidium of the first session of the 15th Municipal People’s Congress, the official list of candidates for various positions was determined according to law.

The election meeting was solemn and orderly. The meeting approved the list of vote supervisors and supervisors. Before the vote, the official candidates of the chairman, vice chairmen, secretary general and members of the Standing Committee of the 15th Municipal People’s Congress, the mayor and vice mayor of the Municipal People’s government, the director of the municipal supervision committee, the president of the Municipal Intermediate People’s court and the procurator general of the Municipal People’s Procuratorate met with the representatives.
