Adventure Layer - Devnet Launches: Advancing Fully Onchain Gaming
We're excited to announce the launch of Adventure Layer Devnet, an innovative Layer 2 solution designed for fully onchain games (FOCGs). This marks an important step in our mission to enhance the blockchain gaming landscape. Addressing the Scalability Challenge The blockchain gaming industry has been working to balance scalability, security, and decentralization. FOCGs, at the forefront of decentralized applications, require high levels of scalability and efficiency. Adventure Layer, ins...

Adventure Layer: a L2 on top of Berachain
Berachain:Berachain is an EVM-identical Layer 1 (L1) blockchain that uses the novel Proof of Liquidity (PoL) consensus mechanism to align liquidity and security at the network level. PoL enables users to earn directly from the network for contributing liquidity or performing incentivized actions—transforming the chain's inflation into fuel for its applications and their users. This model aligns incentives with users who support the network over the long term, creating a sustainable ecosy...

Adventure Gold DAO 2025 Roadmap
As we continue to innovate and expand the horizons of Web3 gaming, AGLD DAO’s 2025 roadmap focuses on three core pillars: Infrastructure, Product, and Distribution. These streamlined categories ensure clarity, focus, and achievable milestones for the year ahead. TLDR:Infrastructure: Our primary focus will be the mainnet launch of Adventure Layer. Further improvements will focus on enhancing interoperability through partnerships with external blockchain ecosystems, and scalability through enha...

Since its inception as a fair-launch token airdropped to Loot NFT holders in 2021, AGLD has embodied the spirit of community-driven innovation in Web3. As one of the most successful examples of Community Take Over (CTO) tokens and a memorable meme phenomenon, AGLD has consistently demonstrated how truly decentralized communities can achieve remarkable progress, even without traditional VC backing.
While our roots lie in the Loot NFT ecosystem, our vision has evolved toward creating decentralized IP, world-building, and gaming infrastructure. In 2024, this evolution culminated in our most ambitious initiative yet: Adventure Layer. After over eight months of meticulous preparation, the AGLD Core Team transformed our legacy Loot Chain into an entirely new ecosystem designed specifically for the future of gaming.
We began 2024 by releasing our strategic roadmap in January, setting ambitious infrastructure development and ecosystem growth goals. This vision materialized through several key technical milestones:
Whitepaper Publication: We outlined our vision and technical framework for Adventure Layer in April.
Development Documentation: Released in June, this provided detailed guidance for developers, solidifying our commitment to transparency and collaboration.
Devnet Launch: September marked a pivotal moment with the release of Adventure Layer devnet, a sophisticated Layer 2 solution tailored for fully onchain games (FOCG). This included tools such as faucet, bridge systems, and integration with Wormhole for cross-chain compatibility.
Performance Optimization: In July, we successfully reduced block generation latency from 250ms to 30ms, significantly enhancing real-time gameplay. This improvement allowed games like Slither to increase their frame rate from 4 FPS to 30 FPS, enabling smoother and more responsive gameplay experiences.
Adventure Layer’s technical breakthroughs, including composable sharding and ECS-based parallel execution, have already begun setting new standards for scalability and efficiency in blockchain gaming.

In 2024, we focused on building comprehensive infrastructure and ecosystem tools:
Adventure Forge (March): An innovative launchpad for incubating new projects, fostering community engagement, and streamlining governance participation.
AGLD Market (April): The first NFT marketplace on Loot Chain, creating a vibrant hub for trading in-game assets and digital collectibles.
Fully On-Chain Governance: Transitioned to on-chain governance using the Tally platform, culminating in the successful passing of AGIP-8 in September.
These developments represent a transformative leap in empowering developers and users, ensuring a robust foundation for the broader adoption of Web3 gaming.

August was a particularly active month for partnerships and events:
Partnerships: Collaborations with Gabby World (AI-powered UGC gaming) and Smooth Labs (technical enhancements).
Flagship Event: "Into The Web3 Gaming 2024" during Korea Blockchain Week, where we showcased Adventure Layer to global gaming leaders.
Devcon (November): Co-hosted the "Consumer Crypto Open Mic" in Bangkok, engaging over 80 builders and founders from 500 applicants.
These initiatives amplified our reach, connecting diverse stakeholders and expanding our ecosystem’s influence.

The latter part of 2024 saw significant achievements in game development:
Slither.io Onchain Release: The fully onchain version of Slither.io launched in November, demonstrating the viability of real-time onchain gaming mechanics.
Supersize Game Launch: Supersize debuted on the Adventure Layer testnet, demonstrating innovative in-game economic systems and competitive mechanics. This launch provided valuable insights into new models for player-driven economies and onchain interactions.
Ecosystem Expansion: Introduced mini-apps and integrated with Solana through the Wormhole bridge, further broadening Adventure Layer’s capabilities.
These milestones demonstrate the practical applications of our infrastructure and the ecosystem’s growing momentum.

November marked another milestone with our listing on Upbit’s KRW and USDT markets, completing our presence on all major global exchanges, including Binance, Bybit, Coinbase, OKX, Bitget, and Gate. This expanded market presence underscores the growing recognition of AGLD’s value and potential.
In addition, two key governance proposals, AGIP-8 and AGIP-9, played a crucial role in shaping the next phase of AGLD DAO:
AGIP-8: Formalized the transition from Loot Chain to Adventure Layer, solidifying our long-term technical and strategic direction.
AGIP-9: A major update to AGLD tokenomics and decentralized governance was proposed, introducing onchain funding mechanisms and enhanced ecosystem grants. The proposal is set for a community vote in early 2025.

Reflecting on 2024, it’s clear that fully onchain gaming isn’t just an option – it’s an inevitable evolution of the gaming industry. Our community-driven approach enables us to adapt swiftly and innovate effectively across multiple frontiers.
The achievements of 2024 have laid a robust foundation, but this is only the beginning. In 2025, we aim to expand our infrastructure, foster deeper community engagement, and further drive the adoption of fully onchain games. Together, we are not just building a gaming ecosystem – we are shaping the future of decentralized entertainment.
To our AGLD community: thank you for your unwavering support throughout this transformative year. Your passion and dedication continue to inspire us. The adventure continues, and the best is yet to come!
