This is a sequel to the first blog I’ve written about being stuck, not knowing where to go, etc.

Since I’ve re-read the previous one, and perhaps picked up on a few mishaps, I think it’s time for a revision.
So much of ‘knowing where to go’ is a pleasure chase.
We find activities, hobbies, people that excite us, and we go chasing the same experience. This always leads in a dead-end.
Not because it is right or wrong to do so, but because what inspired the initial engagement cannot be repeated by chasing it.
Inspired by concepts marketed to me, I set on a path for ‘happiness’, ‘life’s work’, ‘true love’, ‘passion’, ‘self-improvement’.
The truth is, these things didn’t get me anywhere.
What is the point of labeling experiences?
What is the point of trying to capture life’s greatest joys and turning them into mirages?
What is the point of putting a carrot on a stick for the masses to follow?
Labels aren’t bad, they help us communicate feelings, experiences, otherwise illusive.
It’s just that,
One who is serious about acquiring a desired state,
May re-examine the true value of a concept,
And come to the conclusion,
That he has been chasing ghosts his entire life.
