Today, we announced our $150M funding round led by FTX Ventures and Jump Crypto, including new investments from Apollo, Griffin Gaming Partners, Franklin Templeton, Circle Ventures, Superscrypt founded by Temasek, and continued support from a16z crypto and Multicoin.
This funding comes at a critical time in our industry. At Aptos, we are taking this as an opportunity to build the reliable foundation web3 has been waiting for. This team has spent years building and battle testing world-class technology that will dramatically elevate the usability and socialization of web3. We are working with our strategic partners to identify consumer needs, and address them by shipping the most performant and upgradable blockchain technology.
Aptos consists of the leaders, engineers and strategic talent behind years of developments at Diem and Novi, and the researchers behind cutting-edge innovations such as DiemBFTv4, Narwhal & Tusk, BullShark, and Block-STM. Many of the creators, maintainers and brilliant minds behind the Move language and Move Prover are part of our team, and continue to enhance the language, tools and resources that will bring the simplicity and security of Move to everyone.
The Aptos team is excited by the strategic support of this round across key verticals our blockchain was built to support: Gaming, Social Networks, Media & Entertainment and Finance. More on these verticals soon!
Thank you to all of our partners, who instantly recognized the second-to-none talent, technical excellence and executional capabilities of our team. We look forward to growing the Aptos team, product suite and community with this funding. Our team will continue to deliver the most seamless experience in blockchain — developing the tooling and resources needed to foster a vibrant, secure and user-focused ecosystem.
We’d also like to thank our Aptos community for the support over the past seven months as we’ve hosted hackathons, reached 20,000 operational nodes during devnet, launched our series of incentivized testnets and raised total funding of $350 million to strengthen this evolving community.
Together, we will realize the Aptos Vision and redefine how developers, brands and consumers think of, and interact with, web3.

Aptos Incentivized Testnet Update - Aptoslabs - Medium
Two weeks have passed since we first shared our plans for our incentivized testnets. We are happy to share several exciting updates around eligibility requirements, selection process, expected participation slots, success criteria and rewards. Before jumping into the details, we want to share some of our principles and goals of the Aptos Incentivized Testnet (AIT) process:Establish and promote the operator behavior that will lead to a successful Aptos MainnetEmphasize the decentralized nature...

**By **Joshua Lind TL;DR: The Aptos blockchain leverages a wide range of novel techniques to ensure high-throughput, low latency, verified state synchronization in a decentralized network. Peers can validate and synchronize over 10k transactions per second (TPS) with sub-second latency in Aptos today, and we’re already on our way to 100k+ TPS.OverviewState synchronization (or state sync) is an important but often overlooked aspect of blockchain design. In this blogpost, we discuss the evoluti...

Aptos Incentivized Testnet Roadmap - Aptoslabs - Medium
The road to the Aptos mainnet passes through a series of incentivized testnets. During this journey, we look forward to the Aptos community coming together to build a secure, reliable, and decentralized network. Below we describe our timeline along this path, outlining both deliverables and goals. The exact goals and rewards will be published as the registration for the incentivized testnet opens. While this document aims to be exhaustive in the work remaining, we intend to maintain flexibili...
