There are lots of things I wish I had know before I began to transition, and it's a mixed bag. But if your looking for regret that's not what you will find in my sack.

I am a trans female and my name is Ashley, I hope I can help some people understand what it means to be transgender or gender non conforming a little better to break down some of the social barriers and stigmas that we may face or even embrace, and maybe even help someone understand their own identity a little more clearly.

Let me start by saying that gender identity, like sexuality is a vast spectrum! And they are not necessarily tied to one another. I have found mine to be somewhat fluid and it has and changes over time as I experience new things and form new opinions and connections. There is no "right" way to express yourself, and only you can and should decide what that looks like.
