Since launching in August 2021, Arbitrum One has officially surpassed 1 billion transactions, making it a standout Layer 2 solution for Ethereum. In comparison, its rival Base has recorded 755 million transactions, while OP Mainnet lags behind at 347 million.
Despite Base leading in daily transactions, Arbitrum boasts the highest total value locked (TVL) among Layer 2s at $2.5 billion, with Base close behind at $2.2 billion.
Developed by Offchain Labs, Arbitrum uses optimistic rollup technology to streamline transactions, assuming they're valid unless challenged. This approach reduces the load on Ethereum, resulting in faster, cheaper transactions. While still in its early stages, Arbitrum continues to innovate with the recent release of Orbit, allowing developers to build their own Layer 3 blockchains.
Arbitrum One isn’t just a leader in transactions—it’s shaping the future of Ethereum scalability!
