Binance has marked its 19th global regulatory milestone by re-entering the Indian market. The exchange is now registered with India’s Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU-IND), and both its website and app are back online for Indian users.
Binance CEO Richard Teng emphasized the importance of the Indian market, noting that this regulatory step allows them to better serve local needs. The re-entry follows the settlement of a $2.2 million fine and the resolution of a tax dispute.
With this move, Binance is implementing strong AML and CFT measures to align with Indian regulations.
