2. ENS domain Launches the EVM Gateway

The idea is to implement a modular CCIP-Read gateway framework enabling L1 smart contracts to fetch and verify the state from L2s on different EVM chains. This is ENS's first step into Layer2s (OP) See announcement.
Key features include:
Modular and interchangeable design for easy operation.
Only one gateway is needed per chain, regardless of applications.
Trustless gateways, with fully verified responses on L1.
Contracts can fetch L2 state using a builder interface, and change targets easily.
Works for both read calls and transactions, offering flexibility.
Usage:
Extend your contract with EVMFetcher.
Use EVMFetcher in a view/pure context to fetch data from another contract.
Callback to your contract, utilizing information from the fetched slots.
There’s also a $4k hackathon prize for the Best use of ENS in the L2 category at the ETHGlobal. See announcement

Earlier this week, OATH announced that Ethos Reserve is leveraging Optimism, using $ERN as the building block. With over $1 of value distributed to Optimism-native DeFi protocols for every $1 of $ERN in your wallet, users enjoy stablecoin yields of up to 10%. Ethos achieves this by depositing tokens as collateral and distributing a portion to trusted Optimism DeFi protocols like @aave, @GranaryFinance, @yearnfi, and @SonneFinance in a low-risk, delta-neutral manner. Managed Collateralized Debt Position (CDP) Vaults enable sustainable yield for $ERN, turning users into LPs across the DeFi industry on the Optimism network. 🚀
OATH Foundation innovates in decentralized finance, optimizing user yields and reducing developer costs. Governed by the OATH token, it oversees protocols like Reaper Farm, Ethos Finance, and Digit.
See official announcement
What is Ethos Reserve?
An efficient stablecoin system, rehypothecating assets with Reaper's tech for competitive rates, longer liquidity horizons, and increased income. 🌐 #EthosReserve #DeFi

Lettice announced the launch of Redstone on the 15th of November. Redstone is an inaugural plasma implementation for the OP Stack, which stands out as a cost-effective chain tailored for on-chain games, virtual worlds, and ambitious applications. Differing from a conventional optimistic rollup, Redstone posts a data commitment hash to L1 instead of the input state, storing the latter off-chain through a Data Availability Provider. A Data Availability Challenge contract on L1 ensures availability, allowing challenges if the provider misbehaves.
In short, the main difference between Redstone and other OP Stack rollups is data availability. Also to note that Redstone is part of the SuperChain.
Are you a game developer and want to start building on Redstone? Kickstart your journey here.
