August 8th, 2022 - Where are we? Israel ceasefire, CPAC ended, recessionary reality sinking in; for logging purposes only. The world needs new ideas, rather than more editorialized lagging commentary.

I’ve become more and more conscious of the abysmal void of a holistic, existential, “spiritual” basis that has perpetuated a collapse in our collective morale. Historically, communities were stabilized by a social fabric that attempted to instill order amongst the chaos of Life. I’ve got a bevy of ideas for reinventing the sacred--I’ve been working on them for more than two decades, and I think they add significant value to my sense of reality. Maybe they’ll add some value for you, maybe they’ll provide fodder for meditation, maybe they’ll promote new perspectives. Maybe we’ll agree on a foundation for forming local sympatico sanghas.
The Elements have been used for millennia. I’ll mostly be observing the fourfold pre-materialist interpretation of fire, air, water, and earth. I’ll also be trying to facet the breakdown of these four elements over the three main motive vehicles of human faculty. See the chart:

Discussions are always welcome, but I’ve pressure tested the general key-pairs of “Fire - Spiritual”, “Air - Mental”, “Water - Emotional”, and “Earth - Physical”. Unlike the appeal of pseudo-intellectualism or Marxist deconstructionism, I’m always going to anchor to these constructs as I treat them as a way to talk about REALITY. In each week’s content, I’m going to try and stick to a single sphere where all four elements can be mapped onto the ideas that resonate therein. Since I plan to write 100+ of these articles, it’s not going to be useful to expound upon each nuance of these constructs here. Remember, these are just ideas… I’m hoping they can become useful.
Our brains are like filing cabinets (this is one of the reasons that Windows became such a successful operating system). It is useful to keep concepts and systems categorized by similarity or within hierarchical models. When I was a kid, teachers made us use “web diagrams” for giving structure to our ideas. Archetypes like the elements, or even our human roles like “mother” or “grandfather”, are deeply entrenched into our psychology. People will always categorize their relationships, their needs, and their future plans.

The fourfold pillars of our Spiritual, Mental, Emotional, and Physical being are tantamount to our individual “growth” as a human being. If you have practices that engage all four of these aspects, you are highly likely to be growing as a human being: you are fulfilled and healthy and moving along on your journey of Life. If three of these aspects are functioning well, we can progress rather well but we’ll usually be “searching” for something to add to the mix. If only two of these aspects of your Self are being engaged, there will likely be a breakdown coming. A table stands firm on four legs. A table can stand on three legs. A table can NOT stand on two legs.
When using the table above, you might want to ask yourself how well you’re engaging with your four Human aspects. Is there something lacking? Are one of those pillars being neglected?
So because “Water” is the emotional aspect of the elementals, I’ll take a few more liberties in this section. I’m doing this for several reasons, and most of them will seem selfish because I’m going to relate these reasons to you from my vantage point.
I’m a creative personality who is stuck in a deeply analytical mindset for 90% of my working hours. At 17, I consumed the message that engineering and science were going to get me a job, and now I have two STEM PhDs and I have to treat my work with academic precision. Even though I pursued ordination at age 22 and I’ve been meditating since age 15 (I’m now in my 40’s), there is no room for subjective spiritual speculation among the materialist professions that dominate our civilizational narratives. I blame many of society’s ills on this rampant defamation of spiritual goal-seeking. If many of my coworkers knew how I felt about psychophysiological ailments, meditation, energy work, the universe, etc… I’d probably lose too much credibility to effectively communicate my analytical expertise.
I’m utterly fucking sick of the polarized purity spirals of the tribalists, as well as the media’s overuse of divisive strawmen used to provoke the left and right sycophants. We deserve better, and we need a better framework for tolerance and respect that diminishes the volume of the extremists… instead of amplifying them.
I’m utterly fucking sick of the corruption of Science, Journalism, and Education to serve derangement-activism’s end goals. There are far too many people who have had their mental and emotional faculties BROKEN by the Racism, Trumpism, Sexism, Trans-ism, Climate-ism, or COVID narratives masquerading as existential crises. From a spiritual POV, my self-narrative is paramount. From a mental POV, my commitment to search for legit data to optimize my risk management is paramount. From an emotional POV, my maintenance of the stability of my human relationships is paramount. From a physical POV, my commitment to my body’s physical health is paramount. Anyone who is screaming to strangers about how THEY should behave is a symptom of this massive miscommunication problem that needs to be steamrolled ASAP.
I believe that the governments in the West are undergoing a slow, controlled demolition. I don’t care much for whether it is a planned event or a natural consequence of the experiment. I don’t care much for the nuances of the political structure that may arise from the ashes. I care that we agree on shared values. As of this moment, there aren’t many uncontroversial, codified values. I think that a system of self-knowledge and self-management is a domain that I can help motivate as an intrinsic building block of an uncontroversial, communal code of character.
A little more exposition on some numbers as cosmological concepts: (1-0-2) → 3 → 4.
theory needs to sustain visceral, factual reality …
