For a long time I have felt the need to contribute to the web.

However I never wrote the fb post, never published a medium article, nor sent out a tweetstorm. It often felt like the need to publish was driven by social validation for the mere reason to be validated. It wasn’t backed by anything.

Don’t get me wrong I’ve heard about all the good that happens when you contribute to the web. The connections you make, the ideas you generate. But somehow, probably driven by posting anxiety I was a reader, not a writer.

However with the new wave of on chain social media, the thought of owning content seems to actually click. You write your thoughts, you own your thoughts, and you do with them what you want.

You can seek a quick reward, you can try and make connections through people with mutual interests, but you own what you write. It finally makes sense to write for writing sake, not to help some big co get more eyeballs on their app.

I want to use this space to share my thoughts and learnings as I enter the world of web3 and truly embrace a new era.
