The vision for cast.game is to create a system that allows users to make $ from betting on popular casts in a channel.

The game lets users bet on casts by purchasing "tickets" via a Multi-step Cast Action. The ticket holders of the most popular cast (based on social capital value) at the end of the game will receive the prize pool, along with the cast creator.

Process:

We (cast.game) announce a new round in a partnered Farcaster channel with a frame containing round details and a link to install the Multi-step Cast Action.

Players can use the Cast Action on any cast created during the round in the channel to buy or sell "tickets" through frame transactions. The price of a given cast's ticket is determined by an exponential bonding curve to balance price and demand.

Casters are encouraged to create high-quality content for a chance to become the most popular cast and earn 15% of the prize pool.

The trading of tickets is disabled after 24 hours. The cast with the highest social capital value after 48 hours is chosen as the winner. The prize pool accumulated from the ticket revenue will be distributed as follows:

• 5% to the channel team.

• 15% to the cast creator.

• 80% distributed between the cast's ticket holders.

What's next:

The project is currently in development and will launch in early June (estimated). Regular updates on the development of the project will be shared in the /castgame channel.

We're interested in kicking this off in channels whose communities align with this concept. A good use case would be to create competitions (e.g. memes or art) and reward the best content while promoting engagement and exposing new users to the channel's community.
