1. When does this start?

The first artist will be featured on 10/5 and the second artist on 10/6.

2. How many artists will be featured?

We're going to feature 2 artists per weekend. One on Saturday and one on Sunday.

3. Can we feature 3 artists?

No, we're sticking to 2 artists per weekend.

4. When will the artist show their work?

Beginning the morning of the day they are featured. The schedule includes:

- An introduction cast with some of their work

- An AMA thread

- Several casts throughout the day telling the story of their work

- A final cast with any closing thoughts

Each cast will be pinned one at a time for all channel members to engage.

5. What are we doing next month?

TBD. Let's see how this goes first and we'll go from there.

Nominations and Selection Process

1. How do I nominate?

3. Can I nominate more than one artist?

No, just one. If your artist is selected, you can nominate another for future features.

4. Can I nominate someone that is already nominated?

Yes, nominations serve as an informal vote to determine which 4 artists will be involved in the polling round.

5. Can I nominate myself?

No, but someone else can nominate you. This rule may change in the future.

6. Who will BDE nominate?

The community will make the decision on nominations.

7. How do you decide who will be featured?

The artist receiving the most nominations will be entered into a poll, and the channel will decide which artist gets featured. The 10/5 artist has already been selected. A 24-hour poll will run to decide the 10/6 artist. All future artists will be selected by community polls.

8. How will future nominations be made?

The first round of nominations will create the pool of artists, from which 8 will be selected for Artober features. If the program is extended, we'll hold another round of nominations.

Artist Requirements and Participation

1. Are photography, music, sculptors allowed to be nominated?

Yes, any form of art is allowed.

2. Does the artist need a Farcaster account?

Yes, otherwise they won't be able to participate.

3. Can an artist be featured twice?

No, just once in Artober.

4. What if an artist chooses not to participate after they are selected?

We will either choose another artist or, if it's too late, we'll have a meme contest.

5. Will there be a contest between the 8 artists?

No, all 8 artists will each qualify for the 100k Moxie grant should they decide to participate.

BE Fan Tokens and Channel Membership

1. Will BE fan tokens be required to engage with the featured artist?

Yes, the amount is not determined yet, but we'll start small and reserve the right to increase the requirement if the channel becomes too spammy.

2. What about the featured artists? Do they need BE tokens?

If the featured artists do not hold the required BE tokens, we will gift them.

3. I've already locked my BDE fan tokens, can we use those for the BE channel membership?

This isn't possible at the moment. If you're unable to acquire the required fan tokens for the BE channel membership, please let us know and we'll try to work something out.

Community Engagement and Support

1. Can we support the artists in other ways?

Yes, for example, @greatgambino.eth plans on purchasing and raffling off the artists' Fan Tokens. Others have expressed similar thoughts. Your donations and support on top of your Moxie engagement and degen tips are more than welcomed.

2. How are you going to handle this on your own?

The artist will be in the driver's seat for most of the day. My participation will mostly be providing Moxie engagement and degen tips like each of you.

3. Can we still post memes?

We won't be engaging with memes while the artists are being featured. It would be unfair to them, so let's try to keep the focus on the artist as much as possible.

4. Who is going to moderate?

I'm going to reach out to a handful of people to ask them to guest moderate for the weekend. We'll continue to look for others to moderate. No official nominations or voting will take place to determine moderators.
