Fear City is a collection of 9999 unique masterpieces with over 250 traits on the Ethereum chain and is composed of 6 beautifully painted characters. The team’s ultimate vision is to create a Web 3 brand where every single component in the project serves as a purpose and utility in a self-sustaining fear city ecosystem. These NFTs will provide access to the Fear City brand and ecosystem.
The artist draws inspiration from the punk rock culture he grew up with when creating this collection. The art is in an established and highly recognizable illustrative style. A total of 6 characters band together to solidify this identifiable and nostalgic collection that accurately captured people’s wild imaginations about the old days.
Each character bears its own traits, backstories, and characteristics. There will be a narrative just to tease people into a bigger story. One of the great things about this collection is that it will also be a system whereby people can animate and create the tales of Fear City in their own narration.
Fear City will not be an NFT series only. The team is focusing on a bigger picture, and this collection is merely the first piece of the puzzle. Soon enough, the team will drop a trailer after the minting of the NFT collection. So far, the team has envisioned the production of animation movies, on-chain game mechanics, vinyl figurines and so much more. Additionally, they have promised that the future limited edition comic series will be made available to holders and will examine the 6 characters and their backstories.
Most of the team have a Web 3 background. Stephen Bliss is an ex-Rockstar Games/GTA Senior Artist. He painted video game box covers, posters, billboards, and magazine covers for GTA and other successful game titles such as The Warriors, LA Noire, and Red Dead Redemption. The team kicked it off with an official partnership with Stapleverse and plans to collaborate with other brands and continue to establish meaningful partnerships that will expand the IP and add value to Fear City holders. Partnering with Solomon Sounds, former producer of XXXtentacion, they will produce the official Fear City soundtrack, for example.
Fear City team is dedicated to turning their community into a family for people who potentially don’t feel like they are included in traditional roles in society by providing them an inclusive vibe, and bridging that physical and digital rights.
They have been hosting giveaway events to increase community engagement. However, only 137 people tuned in to the last AMA event they hosted at Twitter Space on May 15. Their post regarding the minting date received around 492 likes and 163 retweets. With an average of 200 to 300 likes to each tweet, Fear City Twitter community renders a rather authentic and acceptable engagement performance.
Their Discord community engagement is above average, but still cannot be considered as active. With 4.5k members online in real-time, not many of them chat there. However, in their sneak-peek channel, the average number of reactions is more than 1k.
Moreover, the official Twitter account is followed by 30 NFT Whales, which indicates their NFTs’ potential.
The collection comprises 9,999 unique NFTs. The artist himself has 5.5k followers on Twitter. Although the design and art style is facing a small audience, there still could be a considerable number of people who are interested in this collection. Currently, the mint date is set on 2022/6/3, and the mint price is yet to be announced.
