What Is GENE_SIS?

On the Ethereum blockchain, GENE_SIS made its debut as a 10,000 Generative Art Collection built on existing characters and collections. Each NFT has its own rich background story and fabulous appearance.

What is the GENE_SIS Collection? In the dystopian future, human civilization has been obliterated by the destruction of the environment from a deadly virus. However, they still managed to thrive in small colonies of SENSHIs (female warriors) that are scattered around the globe. 6 classes were established based on their unique characteristics and abilities, they must all fight for their survival.

P.U.R.E : 30% A division consisted of synthetically modified humans equipped with high-tech weapons and firearms.

VYPER : 30% A class of synthetically modified human troublemakers who prioritize individual freedom and pleasure over any rule or decree. VyPER and P.U.R.E exhibit extreme hostility to each other.

FENRIR : 18% A genetic recombination generated through both humans and animals and that possesses abilities derived from both species.

YAKSHA : 12% Mutant ONIs that are created and trained through supernatural ways. Each has at least one or more horns and is capable of casting psychic abilities.

EMP:REAL : 6% A class established to control and govern all, with at least one pair of wings on their back heir powers are proportional to the size and number of their wings, which also decides their rank in EMP:REAL.

NOX : 4% A group of demons reigned as gods with transcendent power. They were locked in the abyss by the mass but some of them managed to break through the confinement.

Holder Privileges

The team didn’t want to make any empty promises. Therefore, nothing is guaranteed as of now. But there is still a slight possibility that the team will eventually grant the holders one perk or two.

How About the Founder & Backer?

The collection is made possible by a group of amazing artists like GHARLIERA, the founder of GENE_SIS, who has worked with titles such as Cyberpunk 2077, League of Legends, Final Fantasy, CAPCOM's Resident Evil and so on. The artist also created limited collections like Girls of Armament and Cyberpunk Bad Girls, but both projects weren’t widely received by the crypto public. GENE_SIS has established collaborations with fashion brands SUPRA, Phantom Network, Trait Sniper, ESION, and many more on the way. The crew planned to take the music scene by storm by developing the music that comes with the NFT itself and possibly a game that can stand on its own.

How’s the Community?

GHARLIERA, as a popular artist, already has a relatively large fan base. Ever since its debut on social media in February, GENE_SIS has accumulated over 300k followers across the Internet. Their twitter data shows an impressive engagement performance. Among 186 tweets, many of them received over 30k likes. The average number of likes sits at around 1.5k.

The team has been holding various events, such as fanart contests and story rewriting, to keep their Discord community active. Artworks posted by official team members are quite popular in the discord channel. The number of reactions is about the same as what is presented on Twitter. Although the number of people chatting in the community channel is not as equally matched, it is still acceptable.

How’s the Market Performance

GENE_SIS has four different stages of minting. The first one is pre-mint, the second one is Mintlist minting (designed for those who have supported the artist’s former artwork collection), followed by Whitelist minting, and the last one is a public sale. Specifics are as follows:

On May 16th, GENE_SIS just ended its mint on a high note. A total supply of 10,000 NFTs was all sold out. Now, holders are all waiting for the reveal, which is set to begin around 7 days after the mint. Now, the number of holders has already reached 4.6k, with a total sale volume of 3,300 ETH ($6,688,308  2022/5/20 Stats).

The original mint date was set to Mintlist on May 12th, Whitelist on May 13th, and public mint on May 14th. On May 12th, however, there was a sudden increase of gas fee on Ethereum. Therefore, the mint date was postponed (specifics in the chart above) and thus caused the surge on the trading volume on May 15th and May 16th. 

A gradual but continuous decline has been seen in the floor price. Starting from 1.68 ETH ($4028.64) on May 11th, the floor price dropped by more than a half, then picked up a little and went stable at around 0.595 ETH ($1157.87) per NFT.
