Backed by Binance Smart Chain, Zodium is a ''Play to Earn'' project based on the animated 3D character NFT. The ancient oriental legends of the 12 zodiac animals and the 12 star signs are the fundamental concepts of Zodium. In the universe of Zodium, anyone can contribute to the ecosystem and acquire its tokens by collecting zodiac characters and playing games.

Zodium intends to support chain-swap between multi main-nets: BNB chain (BEP20), Matic (Polygon), IOST, and Immutable X.

Generally, Zodium is a collectible card game. Players need to draw the Zodiac card packs, put a date of Birth to discover their Soul Zodiac, and open their own Zodiac Pack. Then, if players don’t want to sell them, the cards also can be upgraded to get more rare cards. What Zodium wants to achieve ultimately is that, with just one NFT, players will be able to access and enjoy numerous play-to-earn games ranging from mini-games to RPG games.

Zodium Token There are three types of Token in Zodium: ZODI, CHARIS, and AQUA.

ZODI is the core token and general utility token on the Zodium platform, serving as a governance token of Zodium and it is used for all decisions related to project development. The more ZODI you hold, the higher status you are in the game with more permissions.

ZODI Allocation

-$CHARIS

CHARIS is Zodium's game utility token. Users can earn CHARIS as a reward for winning battles and use CHARIS for various activities in the game, such as crafting weapons. (Crafting weapons means minting weapons.) CHARIS is designed to promote the economic growth of the game. CHARIS is a fair-launch token that can only be minted upon the rewarding winning battle and will be burned when used.

-$AQUA

Aqua is the greatest resource on Trunico. Aqua will be utilized in measuring the strengths of the Guilds as it can be used to boost the power of the guild. The 12 KINDs Guild will compete for Aqua on Trunico, and hence, the season-winning Guild shall have the most Aqua.

At present, there are two collections of main NFTs in Zodium: 12 KINDs, and Weapons. The 12 KINDs NFT was traded last year. Recently, the Weapons have also been available for trading.

-12 KINDs

When ZERO came to Trunico and met each of the 12 zodiac animals, the soul of the 12 KINDs woke up, gained vitality, and became a creature. 12 KINDs are divided into five tiers: Common, Rare, Legendary, Soul Zodiac, and Untouchable.

Zodium launched the 12 KINDs NFTs on December 8, 2021 on their official website. The supply of 12 KINDs is unlimited. Players can acquire 12 KINDs by drawing them on the Zodium website at a price of 100 $ZODI for one card pack containing three characters. By drawing cards, players can get any tier of cards except untouchable ones, which can only be obtained through special events.

Considering that the cost of a player's initial acquisition of a 12 KINDs NFT fluctuates with the price of the $ZODI, the lowest token price since the release of the 12 KINDs was chosen as a reference to analysis. With the lowest token price at $0.019 on June 4, 2022 , initially acquiring a 12 KINDs NFT costs $0.63, while the current floor price for NFTs is $0.7 (On June 8). In addition, there are a total of 1245 NFT items, and 1781 holders, while the total transaction volume has reached $135, 236.63 as of June 8.

-Weapons

To amplify the uniqueness of 12KINDs, there will be 12 different types of weapons for each animal. Weapons NFT plays an essential role in the game, with the addition of a level-up and upgrade system.

Weapons NFT opened for drawing on May 9th this year. The market supply of Weapons is limited according to the Zodium project, but the specific figure still remains unknown. One Weapons NFT costs 100 $ZODI to draw. Similar to 12 KINDs, the lowest token price was chosen as a reference to analysis. With the lowest token price at $0.019 on June 4, 2022, initially acquiring a Weapons NFT costs $1.9，while the current floor price for Weapon NFTs is $4.66 (On June 8). However, it is worth noting that the trading figures of Weapons so far are very low. There are only 8 players and 5 items with the total transaction volume of $5.83.

The main fronts of this gaming community are Twitter and Discord. The number of Twitter followers is 47K. Discord has 24860 members. While Twitter has more followers than Discord, the engagement of Twitter seems not impressive. The average interaction data of daily posts keeps at 3/10/20(comments/retweets/likes) in recent weeks. Additionally, less than 5 whales are following Zodium on Twitter.

In contrast, followers in Discord have much enthusiasm for the Game and NFT topics. Around 1500 members are often online. And more reactions from Discord for the announcements about the game as well. There are around 150 new messages in their general chat channel.

Zodium was mainly created by the former co-founder of LINE FRIENDs and its members， which owns a series of super-popular animated characters including Brown and Cony. In general, the team consists of world-class storytellers, designers, programmers, business and blockchain developers, who have superb capability and profound experience in creating characters.

Animoca Brands, known for its massive investments in the blockchain industry, gained the status of the second-largest share and token holder of Zodium. In addition, some strong-background companies like Morningstar Ventures, ROK Capital, HG Ventures, etc. have funded the project. Zodium has raised $3.5M from top-tier investors such as Polygon, Morningstar Ventures, AU21, IOST, and Bybit.
