每日国外区块链发展动态回顾-2023年6月1日

There is currently a much larger incentive to pay attention to token prices rather than a protocol’s own proposals ， Airdrops have more attention than token unlocks which have more attention than fee switches ， This should be inverted In 2020, crypto had too little users， In 2023, crypto has too many users， We don't need more protocols optimizing the number of transactions per day, we need more protocols to optimize the amount of value being created

When protocols become decentralized, you actually don't want the community's involvement over a long period of time. You want the community to make a lot of decisions quickly, and make less over time. How we mint, how we swap, how we lend, how we curate, how we vote, etc. Otherwise, you're fighting an upstream battle in the attention wars

Another day, another FUD. On rumors of layoffs. Binance has a "bottom out" (we should probably rename it to something else) program. We constantly say goodbye to people who are not strong fits with the company. Many of them are great people or high performers, but may not fit our unique culture/situation. Small example, WFH is not for everyone. This "program" is constant. I push for it on a weekly basis. There are no % of people we have to "push out". I also push for cost cutting, servers, flights, meals, etc, every week too. This may be why ...  Binance has stay profitable since month 4 of our inception. From Oct 2017 onwards, through 2 crypto winters, Binance maintained profitability on a daily, weekly and monthly basis. We always strive to increase talent density. We do performance management.
