Big News: Blockfuse Labs Officially Opens
We celebrate our new HQ while we gear up for the Onchain Builders Meetup as Registration are also ongoing for Web2 for Web3 Preparatory Bootcamp
Is end of the year always like this?
A short note about timing, hesitation, and the weight we carry.
How do you know What Is Right For You? Here Is a Way Out—Trust Me
It all felt so distant, like a world meant for only people wey SABI, not an OLODO like me

Hey Builder, 👋 (high-five),
If you blinked this year, you probably missed something big.
Actually… a lot of big things.

From onboarding hundreds of developers, launching new bootcamps, hosting Africa-first Web3 events, shipping real products, to watching our community step onto global stages. Let's just say; this year at Blockfuse Labs has been nothing short of unreal.
Let’s rewind 👇
We kicked off the year strong.

In January, we welcomed Cohort II into Blockfuse Labs. A new wave of developers hungry to learn, build, and prove themselves. From day one, the energy was clear: this wasn’t going to be theory-heavy learning. This was about building and shipping.
That mindset showed up fast.
Cohort II went on to build KATERA, a multi-network wallet extension designed to redefine Web3 asset management. Student-built. Community-backed. Real product energy.
By March, things escalated quickly.
Web3 Cohort III registrations opened, and we got over 400 signups for a 100% FREE Web3 bootcamp
New learning tracks for beginners, advanced software engineers, and Web3-focused builders
We bagged strategic partnerships, including Coderstech
We also celebrated Women in Tech, spotlighting the women pushing Web3 forward in our community.

And yes, some of our engineers were accepted into the Uniswap Hook Incubator Program. These are real wins bringing deserved recognition for web3 talents in Africa.
This was the season of "firsts."
Hosted at Blockfuse Labs HQ in Jos, builders went deep into:
Uniswap v4 architecture
Hooks
Live demos and real DeFi use cases
In partnership with Base Africa, we ran an intensive, live-coded workshop covering:
Solidity via CryptoZombies
Smart wallets with OnchainKit
After 840+ hours of hands-on coding:
115 developers graduated
500+ smart contracts deployed
12 dApps built
Top 2 finish at the Avalanche Codebase Pitch
Alumni now contributing to platforms like OnlyDust and Cairo Book

By June and July, it became clear:
Web3 in Africa is not just about adoption anymore; it’s about ownership and infrastructure.
We onboarded new developers across:
The Web3 Bootcamp
Our newly rolled-out Software Engineering Bootcamp
And then came a major milestone that changed the game:

A massive vote of confidence for African developers and the work happening inside Blockfuse Labs. See more here.
August was simply a turning point for the entire web3 community.

One year of:
Onboarding developers into Web3
Building a real talent community from scratch
Proving that African builders are ready for the global stage

In partnership with EthJos, we hosted ProdFest 2025 a hands-on, product-focused Web3 conference built for doers.
ProdFest brought together:
Web3 developers
Founders
Investors & VCs
Policy advocates
Beginners entering the space
Hackathons. Product showcases. Real conversations. Real deals.

Blockfuse Labs showed up at EFDevcon 2025 in Argentina, and the energy lived up to every bit of the hype. Our CEO, founder, and Engineer (Scarface, Longs & Manoah) were on full throttle at the conference.

Next stop is Mumbai 2026, and we are already gearing up to represent Africa even louder on the global stage.
Back home, Cohort III officially wrapped on November 28, marking the end of an intense and rewarding learning cycle.

At the peak of innovation within the cohort, builders pushed ideas from concept to execution, experimenting boldly and shipping real solutions.
In recognition of standout projects, Base awarded cash prizes to developers whose work demonstrated strong technical depth, creativity, and real-world relevance. It was a fitting close to a cohort that truly raised the bar (See details).
This year also showed us what happens when builders focus on real problems.

We just closed our Cohort IV registrations on December 1.
This simply means:
More builders.
More products.
More African voices shaping Web3.
We will share updates regarding our waitlist for cohort V registrations.
We kicked off the year onboarding Cohort II, setting the tone for learning by building, not theory
Developers shipped real products early, including KATERA, a multi-network wallet extension
Cohort III Web3 Bootcamp opened with over 350 signups, alongside new Web2 and Software Engineering tracks
Blockfuse Labs gained global visibility, and engineers joined the Uniswap Hook Incubator Program
We hosted Africa’s first Uniswap v4 Meetup, Base IRL workshops, and hands-on community events
Cohort II graduated with 115 developers, 500+ smart contracts, 12 dApps, and hackathon wins
Base sponsored Cohort III, validating the quality of builders coming out of our ecosystem
August marked our 1-year anniversary and the launch of ProdFest 2025, Africa’s most product-focused Web3 event yet
We shipped real-life solutions like Safiri, MicroGigs, and Tokkenly
Cohort IV registrations closed, setting the stage for even bigger things ahead
In short, this wasn’t just a busy year; it was a game-changing experience for the web3 community.

Or simply believed from the sidelines
This year happened because of you.
And trust us, we’re only getting started.
