“Randy Savage on acid, very vibrant and classic, a walking disaster”
Started a new book this week which breaks down life lessons through board games. Your Turn, written by Jonathan Kay and Joan Moriarity, dedicates each chapter to a different board game and highlights how life mirrors the same. One of the standout points I read this week comes from the chapter on Monopoly. I’ll spare the explanation on how to play but the below presents the parallel between society and how the game is structured.

The opportunities to get rewarded in the game are plentiful even on a losing streak. Turning life’s fall on its head, you can shift your view to identifying those opportunities to rebuild instead of getting lost on a bad run. This stood out to me and definitely should be shared with others as well.
Staying on the topic of Web 3 for this week, NFTs and the value of partnerships is the focus of discussion. Referencing a recent report from MoonBlock, they break down how the opportunity for brands to engage communities and meet them where they are to generate value. Some of the key partnerships highlighted were:
Tiffany —> CryptoPunks
Adidas —> BAYC
Rimowa —> RTFKT
Gucci —> SuperPlastic
KITH —> Invisible Friends
One thing that this list highlights is the new line of engagement for existing Web 2 brands to reach new markets. These markets are decentralized yet niche plus they are on-chain which allows for accurate identification of reach and opportunity value. Additionally, combining this with the enablement of royalty rails, that value can flow two ways setting off a butterfly effect of laser-focused empowerment of communities.
That’s the value I see and definitely looking forward to what’s to come.
So simple and quick yet so random. I found this style to be rather rewarding and unique. The random selection of lines and colors once smeared creates another state of the piece. Together, they create one work of art yet dualistic in nature. I have an idea in mind on how I can do a series of these. Stay tuned for sure.

Welcome, Tazuki to the Gentei Kaijou series. As we are getting for our trip to Hawaii, she joins us to share what her life was like growing up and working in Hawaii. She also shares her favorite volcanoes to check out.

Growing up in Cyberpunk Hawaii
“I grew up in the cyberpunk era of Hawaii where skyscrapers reached for the clouds and neon lights illuminated the streets at night. My parents were both engineers who worked for a large corporation that specialized in developing advanced technology.
Growing up, I was fascinated by the technology that surrounded me. I spent hours tinkering with gadgets and machines, trying to understand how they worked. That has shaped who I am today and recently, I have started to get more interested in augmented reality glasses and now I am in the progress of designing my own brand.”
Building an AR glasses Brand
“It’s been an interesting journey despite the main challenge of the relatively small market. This has made it difficult to gain traction and establish a customer base for the brand.
Couple that with the competition of larger, more established tech companies that already have a presence in the market. These companies may have more resources to invest in marketing and research and development, making it harder for my brand to stand out.
However, there are also opportunities we see in Hawaii. For example, Hawaii's unique culture and landscape could provide inspiration for unique features or designs for the glasses. Additionally, the tourism industry in Hawaii could provide a market of tech-savvy visitors who would be interested in trying out new technology.
Building a strong brand identity and focusing on providing unique value to customers are also important for our success. Developing partnerships with local businesses, such as tour companies or restaurants, that could offer AR experiences for their customers would help to create a niche for the brand. Ultimately, a strong marketing strategy, a clear value proposition, and our top-notch product have been our approach for pushing forward”
Best Volcanoes to see in Hawaii
“Coming to Hawaii, you gotta check out the following if you are into hiking and nature’s Chaos.
Kilauea: Located on the island of Hawaii, Kilauea is one of the most active volcanoes in the world and has been continuously erupting since 1983. Visitors can hike to the volcano's summit and view the glowing lava flows at night.
Mauna Loa: Also located on the island of Hawaii, Mauna Loa is the largest volcano on Earth in terms of volume and area covered. It last erupted in 1984 and it is a popular destination for hiking and backcountry camping.
Haleakala: Found on the island of Maui, Haleakala is a massive shield volcano that last erupted in the late 1700s. It is known for its scenic drive to the summit, where visitors can see the sunrise and view the volcano's crater.
Mauna Kea: Also located on the island of Hawaii, Mauna Kea is a dormant volcano that last erupted around 4,500 years ago. It is also a popular destination for stargazing and it's an observatory site.
It's worth noting that hiking on volcanoes can be treacherous and safety is a priority. It's recommended to check the National Park Service website for current conditions, trail closures, and recommended safety tips. Also, it's important to check the weather forecast for the area you plan to visit and come prepared for the conditions.”
