This week from Lewis Hamilton’s Masterclass on a “Winning Mindset” was focused on “Mental Preparation”. Last week focused on the body but the mind accounts for a lot of success one is able to have

This week Opensea launched a new feature called Deals. This will allow people to facilitate P2P trades on Opensea. You may be thinking that is already possible by just going wallet to wallet but here are some benefits to this feature
Benefits
Broader community - Leverage the OpenSea community to find the user you want to trade with and propose the trade. You can trade today but you would need to do a lot more digging and engaging over different platforms (ex. Twitter). Now you can engage the offer right from Opensea
Ease of transfer - consider a membership NFT that is not moving on resale for the number you want but maybe someone has a NFT you want and you have a NFT they want. Simply trade+
All in all, though it is a small feature, it opens the door for different “deal” structures for sure!
Staying on the topic of Jay-z, Lupe Fiasco dropped a song this week which also happens to be one of the featured tracks this week. Though the song itself, “Rocafella Yall” has nothing to do with my art selection this week, the title did remain me of my favorite chain/logo in hip-hop. I have a project idea to incorporate this.
I wanted one growing up because they always made it seem like an award ceremony/coming-of-age moment to be a member of the Rocafella Chain Gang.
My project will incorporate this imagery and all proceeds will be to my chain!
As I have been working on building an app, I always wanted to find an app that could go straight to React from Figma. Here is the solution
Convert your Figma files to React with ease. I haven’t tried it yet but I plan to in the coming weeks.
Pistols on my album cover! Esco is back with Magic 2. Though it was anticipated, the timing was a surprise! He is here today to share why he decided to drop it with such short notice.
“Surprise Album” - Esco
“I think the element of surprise added a whole new layer of excitement and engagement. It made the album feel like a gift, a moment of magic for my fans. They appreciated the spontaneity and felt like they were part of an exclusive experience. Plus, it allowed the music to speak for itself without any distractions.
It can be thrilling and liberating! As an artist, we're often bound by schedules, teasers, and promotions, which are all essential, of course. But with the surprise release, I got to focus solely on the creative aspect. It was like a breath of fresh air, and I could feel the raw emotion and energy flowing through the music.
My advice to other artists would be to plan it carefully, surround yourself with a trustworthy team, and make sure you have a strong connection with your fans. Building that anticipation and excitement is essential for a surprise release to be successful. But most importantly, let your creativity shine through, and have fun with the process!”
We have 3 songs this week including another one from Lupe Fiasco. He dropped a new song called “Rocafella Yall”. He goes crazy for 5 mins. Additionally, I am including a track from J Hus and the new Nas album.
