Time is Undefeated
There was something about taking it slow that I never understood. One because society and time will show you that there was always someone else on the side or 2, we simply don’t have the trust and patience it takes for these moments to flourish. I, myself have not been able to abide by the stages in the video below nor do I know anyone who has done this since college or just after graduating. We hardly get good examples of what happens when there is idle time in trying to get to know someone. It has become an excuse to have a whole roster. However, it is necessary nonetheless and highlighted in the video below.
The fast-paced life of working and struggling to manage a love life can easily influence the desire to want and skip steps out of a desire for more or simply not wanting to “waste time”. As a result, the first 5 stages in the video above usually get tangled making it hard to discern yourself and also if you truly have feelings or if is it just an infatuation.
Time is essential to evaluate this bond if you plan on developing a strong foundation and accomplishing greater goals. Working it out on the fly can work for some but for a lot, it may cause certain assumptions and handicaps to be created without level setting.
For me, I plan to give this more of a shot considering I do tend to overextend myself and it would be great to have a balance and rely on time showing sustained interest by both parties.
This week we are going to look at the problem we are trying to solve with the introduction of Skylark. At the root level, we have a focus on driving engagement. As you peel back the layers, you can equate today’s engagement for brands driven mostly by marketing specifically social media. Some businesses don’t have the capital to have a dedicated team or agency at hand to help with this. That is where Skylark comes in.

One, we mentioned the cost - Marketing campaigns can be expensive. 2 and 3 go hand in hand because brands lack the means or tools to activate their data. Your thriving business may be limited because you haven’t learned how to activate your existing data/community to create marketing collateral. Skylark is going to help with that and as we get started with our build soon, we will continue to share updates. Follow us on X to keep up with the progress.
This week’s Aesthetics is the below image of a hummingbird. Thinking about making logos with birds, this is a great basis to start something simplified. The black can be the shape surrounded by some rays of color. I may try this out.

If you have been looking and wondering why Midjourney doesn’t have an official API, then below is a great alternative!
Stable Diffusion APIs - Exploring this site, you can see the plethora of model we can leverage in their API suite including a Midjourney variant. This is the answer I was looking for in getting started with the API for our build. Check it out!

“Nice & Slow” - Monroe
“Though things can feel exciting when they are moving fast, here are 10 reasons why it is important to take your time.
Getting to Know Each Other: Taking it slow allows you to truly get to know your partner. This deeper understanding can help you make informed decisions about whether you are compatible in the long term.
Building Trust: Trust is a crucial foundation for any healthy relationship. Taking your time allows you to build trust gradually, which can lead to a stronger and more secure bond.
Emotional Stability: Rushing into a relationship can lead to emotional turmoil if it doesn't work out. Taking your time can help you maintain emotional stability and avoid unnecessary heartache.
Compatibility Assessment: It gives you the opportunity to assess your compatibility on various levels, including values, goals, interests, and lifestyles.
Red Flag Detection: Taking it slow allows you to spot any potential red flags or warning signs in your partner's behavior or character that you might miss if you're in a hurry.
Personal Growth: It provides room for personal growth and self-discovery. You can continue to focus on your own goals and interests while developing a relationship at a manageable pace.
Healthy Boundaries: Establishing and maintaining healthy boundaries is essential in any relationship. Taking your time allows you to set these boundaries and ensure they are respected.
Reducing Pressure: When you rush into a relationship, you may feel pressure to conform to certain expectations. Taking your time reduces this pressure and allows you to be yourself.
Conflict Resolution Skills: As you spend more time together, you have opportunities to work on your communication and conflict resolution skills, which are vital for a successful relationship.
Long-Term Commitment: A relationship built slowly is often more likely to lead to a long-term commitment. Rushing can lead to impulsive decisions that may not be sustainable in the long run.”

House music and UK Drum & Bass have been the music highlights of my year as we enter the last stretch. This has been greatly fueled by listening to Flavour Trip mixes on YouTube! They are a traveling couple venturing to different locations while mixing and making meals. This one track below I found recently. Check it out!
Enjoy!
Until next time, keep on seeking balance!
