My snail flipped itself back over ! Nature doesn’t need help #EvolveDaily
Nature doesn’t need help! That is the focus for this week’s entry. This past week, I bought some snails for my fish tank. As I placed each one in the tank, I began to wonder about how snails are able to “flip back over” if they land on their shell. It was at this point, I noticed one of mine showing exactly how it was done. I reached in the tank to give it a hand and then noticed how it used its “sticky” body to create leverage and roll back over. See below.
Now this doesn’t always work and sometimes you have to intervene but this is point of week’s post. Snails have been around for a while and with evolution, you either develop the skills to overcome or stay stagnant. That is the natural course of things. You can’t help all situations advance. Sometimes, you have let the natural order do its thing.
Feeling Hungry!??!
This week’s tech exploration, Supper Club, is a Web 3 application that seeks to onboard folks via a common thread of needing to eat! Started by Captain, Supper Club aims to brings restaurants closer to their customer base. One of the major pain points mentioned in the restaurant business today is the overhead economics for the relationship between a restaurant and their highest value customers. With brands like UberEats and DoorDash, restaurants have to forfeit profits and with frequent patrons, they end up contributing to the majority of that spend. A small problem if your restaurant has a large customer base but it would be ideal to minimize the friction between this relationship.
The app, built on Solana, allows for activations to be created with rewards that can be redeemed for partnering restaurants. I had the opportunity of trying it out at a workshop held last week by the founders. Gamified experiences such as a scavenger hunt for ingredients can make it fun to engage and reward your community of foodies. Users win NFTs and Foodcoin upon completion and these can be traded for swag and promotional restaurant offers. One key point is that when you create an account, your waller is automatically created in the background as a custodial wallet. There is the whole concerns of “Not your keys, Not your wallet” but in this closed loop ecosystem, the ease of onboarding make sense since the assets’ value is limited to experiences created via the app and parterning restaurants. At the moment, they have a few partners in Chicago and on the West Coast so if you are located there, give it a try and see how you like it.

What a dope concept!
Some cool tools I’ve gathered for the week:
EarnFi - New tool purchased by Bankless to help users find unclaimed airdrops.
Thirdweb - Collection of tools to launch your Web3 project
As promised, this week’s guest, King Fisher decided to spend some time with us last week. For introduction, King is just 22 years old. His impressive speed and fearless driving style, King has quickly become a fan favorite and a force to be reckoned with on the track. Read below as he shares what has been his most challenging moment this year.
“I've faced many challenges this year, both on and off the track. One of the most challenging moments for me came earlier this season, when I had to overcome a difficult setback. I had been performing well in the lead-up to a big race, and I was feeling confident and prepared. However, just days before the race, I was involved in a minor accident during a practice session and suffered a minor injury. I was devastated and wasn't sure if I would be able to compete. But I refused to let this setback define me, and I worked hard to recover and get back on the track. In the end, I was able to race and put in a strong performance, despite the challenges I had faced. It was a difficult moment, but it taught me the importance of perseverance and resilience, and it made me even more determined to succeed.”

This week’s vibe is an elite posse cut, Eastern Conference All-Stars. This is from the Skyzoo and Pete Rock 2019 project, Retropolitan. It features lyrical greatness - including Skyzoo, Westside Gunn, Conway The Machine, Benny The Butcher, and Elzhi. Fire from start to end, I would love a part 2 today with the addition of Boldy James, 38 Spesh, Curren$y and Stove God.
Enjoy!
Until next time, keep on seeking balance!
