“All these screens are taking up valuable art space.”
Former POTUS, Barack Obama spoke on the rise of “woke” culture and its impact on social media. It has become all too common to be Team A or Team B on the internet. This division will not lead to change if all we do is decide to “cast stones” at the other side. This was the basis of his monologue and I agree. Social Media has made it very easy to pick a side, cast the stone, and then go back to what you were doing before but how is that bringing about change?
It is most definitely possible to be striving for greatness and still have flaws. We have to see the human complexity and have some tact in how we handle each other!
Is it possible for him to be president again?

An interesting use case of concerts in the metaverse https://t.co/DpPGmcJOAh
This week’s tech exploration is the Biggie Metaverse concert that was hosted in Meta’s, “Horizon Worlds” metaverse platform. It was a very interesting experience that caught my attention in a couple of ways.
As I explained in my video, digital concerts like this can expand advertising and unlock new revenue models from live events. Today, there is real estate during an IRL event that can be used for advertising but the amount is finite and not dynamic. I wrote about a similar scenario in the past here but in short, digital real estate for advertising and experiences is a game changer! To take it a step further, as I mentioned in my video, the post-show experience can “unlock” even more.
The second and most intriguing part was how they were able to do this. The technology behind this and the rights to bring this to life. Rights are one thing and can be negotiated but the technology behind this is the same that has been behind some of the CGI humans in our favorite movies. The company, HyperReal was started by some of the same individuals who brought movies like “Ready Player One” and shows like “The Watchmen”. The hyperrealism of those characters has now been transformed into an asset class and can be sold and traded for entertainment value. *MINDBLOWN*
I still need to do some more research on the “asset class” aspect but the ability to have a digital twin of yourself or a posthumous artist unlocks a new wave of value. Their HyperModel service does exactly this. Partnering with The Christopher Wallace Estate, they got the rights to recreate Biggie and host a show in the Metaverse. Though free this time, such experiences can be later monetized. This is not the first time The Christopher Wallace Estate has tested these waters. In fact, earlier this year, they sold the rights to a Biggie freestyle as an NFT allowing owners to create their own content with it but the royalties came back to the estate. This is deep.
Doing some more research on HyperModel
I definitely need to do some more research here because this can be an interesting space to get into especially with famous vtubers like CodeMiko. I’ll leave you with the below but believe me, I will be back with more!!!
GM! "Rooftops VI", a project from a while back 🏙️♥️

I love the tones and perspective of this piece!
Some cool tools I’ve gathered for the week:
Async Art -Toolset for dynamic Art and Music NFT
This week, we connected with Emperor Takumi to discuss his upcoming album, “Force of Nature”. Check the interview below as we learn about his inspiration.
47Balance: Tell us about “Force of Nature”
E.T.: “Force of Nature is an album that I want to feel like a powerful piece of art. Similar to an actual force of nature, it can have a transformative effect. Sometimes destructive but can have positive effects.”
47: What would a positive effect look like?
E.T.: “Well, with storms, one can see the growth in nature that comes afterward. With this album, I am talking about topics that we need to address in our community in the hope to stimulate change/growth.”
47: What are some of those topics?
E.T. “Education in the black community for one. I think there are a number of things that could be done better but I’ll share a few:
Increasing funding for schools: Providing adequate funding for schools in the Black community can help ensure that students have access to the resources and support they need to succeed.
Engaging with the community: Building partnerships with community organizations, businesses, and parents can help create a supportive environment for academic success.
I rapped about these on the track, “Report Card”
47: That sounds like it should be interesting. Any features you can tell us about.
E.T. : “Yea, I have a collab with Mori on this album as well and I’ll leave it there. Don’t want to ruin the surprise!!”
47: Well, we are looking forward to it!!! Let’s connect with it drops!
E.T.: “For sure! Bet!”

The Blacked-Lipped Pastor is back with his latest album in 6 years. “Hebert” is his third album since his last release in 2016. Ab-Soul delivers and recollects the ups/downs of his last 6 years. This week’s vibe is “It Be Like That”, one of my favorite tracks on the album. Check it out!!
Enjoy!
Until next time, keep on seeking balance!
