Good morning,
I will be in San Francisco next week doing the most San Francisco thing possible (going to a tech event).
The rest of the gals will be in Abu Dhabi for Solana Breakpoint, livestreaming with the founder of Phantom, Ian Rogers of Ledger, and friend of the pod Trevor McFedries about his new thing.
If you are in either place and want to grab a coffee, do reply to this email. Otherwise, see you at Stellar House in Miami tmrw? Natasha is on at 1.
Love,

Merry Spendmas. Congratulations consumers, we put record numbers on the board for Black Friday 2025. We spent considerably more (sales up 9% on the year) but bought less (2% fewer items than last year). Okay inflation we see you girl. Also Klarna usage was up 45% on the year. Sephora even offered a BNPL-specific incentive as reported in the Boys Club Slack.

AI-driven sales were up 805%, which feels like it reveals a lot about how we’re all making decisions these days. Unrelated, Dirt’s gift guide is the only one I’m reading this year.
Ups and Downs. The Trump family’s onchain empire is having a week. There were a few relatively positive announcements for World Liberty Financial (rolling out RWA products) and their USD1 stablecoin (used in a $2 billion investment into Binance). Though both feel like good news theatre tbh. At the same time, the stock price for Eric and Don Jr.’s mining company ‘American Bitcoin’ dropped 40% in less than 30 minutes on Tuesday. Number go up, number go down. No one is immune!!!
