Adam talks in great detail with Kevin about the importance of Sybil resistance, the Web of Trust, the upcoming new Aura verification and the BrightID DAO.

Looking into the future hopefully BrightId will become part of the social fabric, so that to connect you just have to ask some friends or family. And more and more apps will be using it to make sure they have unique users for whatever reason, quadratic voting, one person one vote, universal basic income and more. BrightID also makes it possible to have Soulbound tokens. Because they are linked to your BrightID you can always recover Soulbound tokens even if you lose access to your wallet.

The Unitap gas tap is expanding. With the help of a small amount of gas it’s much easier to get started with voting or trading. You can now claim a small amount of gas tokens for Gnosis chain, Polygon, Fantom, Nova Abitrum, Celo, Telos, IDChain and a number of test networks.

Of course, you need to connect to Unitap with you BrightID as the Unitap is protected from sybil attacks with BrightID.

The team is also working on the Token tap. That will open the doors for DAO voting tokens, for distributing app specific tokens and for micro UBI distribution. One of the first use cases will be SongaDAO. They will use the Unitap token app for a Song ranking system.

Utopia42 just launched their multiverse. This is not just a metaverse, in the Utopia multiverse every organisation, community and project can create their own metaverse. You can give it a try at https://utopia42.club

It’s all open source (see github), decentralized and will be multiplatform using Muon. For now it’s running on Polygon. If you log into Utopia42, you will find a Minecraft style look. You can get a bit of land and build with blocks like in Minecraft. But there is more, you can add images and even video to your land.

When you have a BrightID you can create your own citizenship ID, which is a soulbound NFT. The big advantage is that you can have the same identity across all the metaverses on Utopia42. Moreover Utopia42 is planning to distribute any revenue as a UBI among all users. For that it’s also essential to be able to identify unique persons with BrightID to avoid any abuse.
