This is not an exhaustive list, but it has served me well this far:
Internet: yep.
Curiosity: This is the fuel that will keep you moving through the chaos.
Imperfection: we’re 90% millennials (don’t quote me on that) and we can smell bullshit from a mile away (definitely quote me on that) don’t come to the DAOverse pretending to know it all or expecting to know it all. The Bhagavad-Gita says, “It is better to follow your own path, however imperfectly, than to follow someone else’s perfectly.”
Time: Understanding the tech takes time. Researching projects takes time. Finding your people takes time. It takes time to develop a unique perspective.
A unique perspective: This makes you interesting. If this unique perspective makes life easier for others in the DAOverse, it will be your most valuable long term asset.
Twitter: Its become the most efficient way to find your people and understand important cues so that you can navigate the web3 culture.
Discord: Love it or hate it, you need it.
Emotional resilience: You’re going to be ignored. That’s not easy for us millennials. Don’t expect confetti chariots when you arrive, you will be disappointed. Not everyone is going to resonate with your unique perspective - and that’s a good thing.
A DAO practice: The most successful people in a craft have a practice: musicians, yogis, speakers, glass blowers, martial artists, blacksmiths, authors, etc. Create your DAO practice. Seth Godin says, “Our work exists to change the recipient for the better. That’s at the core of the practice.”
